    Default States Without Vice Problems

I was looking at Oklahoma (OKC and Tulsa) for dancing, but I've been told and read on here that vice is big problem in that state, and dancing could be risky.

I cannot get arrested for any reason whatsoever and have that on my record.

So my question is...are there other states/cities where vice isn't as big a problem?

I was looking mostly at the Midwest, at places like Missouri and Texas. I would also consider a lot of the South as well. Trying to avoid colder states like North Dakota (plus there's only like three clubs in that state) and avoiding East and West coasts.

Vice is on a rampage in North Dakota/Eastern Montana right now (mainly online adult activities), I can PM the further details.

I would recommend Iowa, South Dakota (seasonally) & WESTERN Montana clubs.

Truly though stripping is so unpredictable you could end up with a problem if you go to a bad club and show up the wrong week.

You can also set up residence in a bigger city like Denver or Minneapolis & just work at clubs in the city. Working at a coroprate club with a clean rep is safer than bouncing around & gambling with unknown clubs.

Missouri laws prohibit nudity in the state, so it's kind of barren as far as clubs go. There are clubs in east St. Louis, which is in Illinois, but I've danced there and thought it was nasty. Living in Kansas City, The closest clubs are in Lawrence, KS. I went over there and the club was literally a trailer in a wheat field. $5 dances. Gross.

Have you looked into Kansas at all? The Topeka area has some decent clubs (from what I hear).

You might also look into Arkansas.

I love Texas and there's money in the larger cities (except Austin). That would definitely be at the top of my list.

I would consider Iowa definitely, there's jobs out there for someone like me (besides dancing), same with Minneapolis. I prefer dancing in the more corporate clubs anyhow, I usually do well in mid-sized/bigger clubs and not so much in small town clubs. Mostly I like being more anonymous (and dislike drama) rather than being a big fish in a small pond, which is what usually happens in the smaller clubs I go to. I can PM you my specific situation.

Actually Kansas is a really good idea, also a lot of jobs. I didn't know much about the state, and I went over to TUSCL and saw a decent amount of clubs in Topeka and Laurence, which looks like I'd have options. And the two cities are not far from each other, I would have to commute a bit so I don't run into any townspeople from my regular job lol.

Arkansas is another good one actually and also a lot of jobs in the main cities...I miss the warm weather too! Currently 20 degrees where I am and that's pretty high for this week. I'll have to research what the clubs are like there.

I considered Texas very much. For someone in my situation, there are jobs further out in places like Temple and Waco, not as many in the main cities unfortunately. I did see that there were clubs in those area, but very few and a big commute. I've been to Texas and loved it, but looking for a city. But I will also try for jobs there too and see how that pans out.

So yeah, basically my situation is...been looking for regular jobs on the East Coast where I live. Things are not looking too good so far and am keeping an open mind to moving for a while. Lots of jobs in the Midwest however, and willing to move while I still can.

I've never danced in Arkansas, so take this with a grain of salt if you like -- I have lived there though, and the clubs I've seen all look abysmal, and I've heard that the money is horrendous even in Little Rock.

That said, I do love Arkansas. Warm weather for sure, plus the cost of living is preposterously low.

^Yep, just looked over at TUSCL and saw that there are very few clubs in that state in general. Not terribly surprising to hear it's abysmal.

Where nd when did you dance in east st, louis. I bank there and I'm one of the cleanest dancers there but yea they are dirty on stage no worse than the 50 other clubs I've worked. I'm there all the time and never saw you just wondering where? Pm me if you want.

Also don't know when you last danced in Dallas but it's dirty too and Manattan girls fuck in vip. So everywhere is pretty much dirty now. Just mind your business and don't dance dirty...

Go to vip in Chicago. They will never get busted. They are the cleanest club I've ever worked. But tip out is outrageous and you have to go during big conventions. If you are a hustler you should walk out with 1000-1500 easy.

^Thank you. As much as I liked Chicago, it's kind of lousy for me regular job-wise. I'm pretty much restricted to less popular cities in the Midwest/South. I'll PM you my situation.

I worked at Penthouse in 2010. I thought it was icky.

It was the same year that I was working at The Lodge, and at least on the surface it was waaaay cleaner.

^Thanks. I actually did look at NOLA before, since it's warm, is urban, and has tons of clubs, but after doing some research the job market that I'm looking for is saturated at the moment.

Edit: I also think I saw that NOLA requires licensing. I'm not 100% positive on this, in which case it would be a no-go.

NOLA only requires an ID and a SS card.

Thanks everyone. I now have a clear idea of which cities I will try. I have started the process of sending my info and finger prints needed to work in some of the other states.

So as it turns out, I got a couple of calls and something might open up in my area! :

Unfortunately it could mean I'll have to stop dancing for a while, but as long as I get some experience then I should be free to go anywhere else. And I'll certainly keep some cities without vice in mind!

Good to hear. I wanted to mention that LE has been monitoring online adult industry activities for places to do stings (it's not just "certain" sites they look at, they look at things like stripclub list dot com and massage parlor listings too.) The Federal Gov. has been earmarking money for online surveillance. Basically it means that if a club gets a long lasting reputation as an extras/drug mill, they will go right to it with all the info they have gathered. (BTW I don't think they would target dancers one by one b/c dancers are considered "transient workers"...but if you happen to be at that club the night they show up to do a bust...well that sucks for everyone there.)

Are there any current articles I can read about? There have been so many places that I've worked in that were drug dens it'd be nice to see them shut down or under new management. I usually don't stay long in those kinds of places for the very reason in case of a bust.

Look up the Instagrams and fbs of dancers who work at certain clubs. TBH your average newbie stripper is too dim to avoid discussing drug habits, weekend party plans and being friends with the dealers who come into the club.

Also stripclublist has plenty of gossip, usually about extras but sometimes drug related things are mentioned.

Ultimately an individual's risk assessment is totally subjective. If a person truly truly cannot afford to have problems stemming from working in a popular bar or strip club, they should avoid that world for a period of time or forever. Just IMO. The Internet has made "permanent stains" on a reputation to be a hard reality.

    Hired!

Incidentally enough, on the East Coast. After several rejection letters, I was given a chance for an opening. And the area I'm moving to doesn't have vice problems! Hoorah!
