Default worth it to work one day?

i'm getting back into dancing after having my first baby, and right now i can only get a sitter i trust one day a week. however, i would be able to work all dayshift and night if the club is busy. do you think it would be worth it? this is not for my main income just supplemental and honestly bc i miss it!!!

I think so. I used to work one Saturday a month and make enough for my bills that entire month. Working four Saturdays a month would be a very comfortable income for me.

I'll be in your same position soon. I'm expecting my first in a few months and I'm missing the money. I always felt like I did well coming in less because I put more effort into my appearance & hustle.

I work one day a week, maybe two here and there. I used to dance more often, but I have a full-time job now so that's all I can do. Although most of the dancers at my club work more often (probably around 4 shifts a week), there are definitely some sporadic dancers and others who work less often like I do. The great thing about dancing is the flexibility, so it's not unusual to not work often. What I would recommend is to pick a day and work it consistently though, especially if you're working the day shift. It makes it easier to cultivate regulars, and in some clubs those can really be your bread and butter.

I work what averages to 1 day a week (some weeks with 3, some weeks I'm on vacation). While I'm not rolling in dough, I make enough to survive if it were the only income in my house.

Last semester I worked once every two weeks lol so twice a month. Of course it's worth it if you make some money but I guess would not be worth it if you literally make no money, which I doubt will happen. If you work dayshift and nightshift it should definitely be worth it.

Everyone has different schedules so just work however much you can for now. I'm personally trying to make it a habit to work 2 or 3 nights every week.

If it's just for side income, of course it's worth it.
Even if you were to stay just a few hours and make $100, that's an extra $400 a month, which I'm sure would be helpful with a baby to feed and diaper, or else as a savings contribution or something. As long as you feel your time is being compensated fairly, go for it!

PS, plenty of dancers are "subsistence strippers' that work minimal hours... I used to only work about 10 hours a week because that's all I needed to pay my bills and have spending money. It's totally normal

I used to work 2 shifts per week but now only work a double shift (12 hrs) on Saturdays, since I go to school full-time. I've cultivated regulars over the years so easily leave with enough money to pay for rent in one night. I only work 4 days per month and don't have trouble paying my bills. I can still spoil myself from time to time and save. I don't go out or spend much during the school year so it's definitely feasible, but I try to work more during the holidays and summer time.

It's worth it, most of the time you'd be still making more than working one day at a regular job and it beats not working at all.

thanks ladies! as one of you said, even if i make 100 every sat (which is probably a good average guess for my area) that will really help out with the bills. just didn't know if it was crazy, or if it's hard to stay "looking" like a stripper only working one day lol

I would say go for it! As you probably know, you can make a lot more in one day stripping than you could in any other job. Also, it could just be me, but I have noticed sometimes the less I work in a week, the more excited regular customers are to see me and will spend more. People always want what they can't have! Sometimes the less available you are, the more desirable you become.

I agree I have been dancing only one day a week since I started a new job and I have been doing better than I used to make dancing 4 / 5 days a week cumulatively. I think when customers know you are at the club all of the time they can take you for granted or even get bored of you. When you are only there just a day you are a specialty compared to the others.

Working one day a week can actually be more productive than working multiple days. You have a week to recover physically and mentally from your shift, and then you put all of your energy into working that one day. So you're much more efficient, your energy is cleaner, and you'll be more in demand with your regulars (since they know they only have one day a week to spend money on you). I worked one day a week for most of my dancing 'career,' and it worked really, really well. I had way more energy than any of the other girls. And they were often lazier because they knew they could always make money 'tomorrow' instead of putting the effort into 'today.'

It could actually be easier to pull of a different look 1 day vs 3 or 4. There are girls I work with with that I've seen outside of work and didn't realize they were the same person. They spend at least an hour on hair and makeup and usually work less days. The ones that work 4 days usually have super shortened hair and makeup routines because they don't have the energy for the hour or more each day. It really is a personal preference and balance. Remember, looks don't guarantee great money, it just makes it easier.

I used to work 4 days a week when I started. And got burned out real quick so I admire the dancers who work full time.

I know my prime money making hours and if I can't get in to work those hours then I just don't go. I wish I could work 3 days a week as I'd make more money but im only able to work 1-2 days a week at the moment.

This is good cause i get to recharge my batteries so to speak after each shift. I also seem new to regular local customers who never see me before.

Only drawback is the more often you work the better your hustle becomes and the more you know about the customers who are spending vs furniture. And the dancers who work full time are territorial and will try to challenge / cutthroat you so gotta stay on your toes!
