So I've been at the mid tier for about two months, so far so good. The money was really great until the post holiday slump too, but recently it's been really slow and to make up for loss of income the club owner decided to change the rules: No more being topless onstage and we must wear full-back bottoms. We can only be topless in the VIP/lap dance area. He is supposedly doing this to avoid paying pole tax. My question to you ladies is this: has anyone else worked a club with rules like this? Is it even possible to make money with a strip club where they won't allow you to strip onstage? There's only one other club in town and it's a nude BYOB, so I have a feeling we're going to be losing a lot of customers once this goes through on Monday.
Any advice? Should I scout for a new club (which means traveling out of town)?
EDIT: This isn't due to a city ordinance or anything, legally in my town you can be topless without pasties and wear a regulation thong. So it's all about saving the club owner money in the long run but I have a feeling it's going to completely screw over all of the dancers that work for him.
