    Default Strip Club Waitressing

I am at a weird place right now. I am tired and scared of dancing. I live in Miami and there was a recent raid two month ago in one of the clubs (Wonderland) and I just don't want to take any chances with anything and want to not dance for a while. So I was thinking of becoming a waitress instead. I know I would get hired and I know I will be able to handle it, but the only problem is that one day I'd need a "real job" and the question is: will waitressing leave a "sex work" mark on my records for future vanilla employers to see?

A lot of clubs operate as "DBA Penthouse" or whatever, meaning they are "doing business as, Penthouse" and actually have their LLC or whatever under a different name. My club operates under "Blah Blah Sports", and another one I worked at said it was "Blankity Blank Steakhouse". Any W-2 you get will say that name, not their DBA.

Employers won't see that unless they pull your taxes to begin with, which you have to sign an IRS form for, and is pretty rare except in government jobs and probably some financial sectors.

Depending on the reason for the raid -- like, smtg drug-related vs prostitution -- wouldn't you be at just as much risk by association?

I read abt the Wonderland CF when it happened. Sounds like any local SC job would be dicey lately, even if it's not dancing. Maybe it would be safer to just get a vanilla waitressing/bartending job.
