    Default recruiting and hiring dancers

We are a small club in Mississippi an we are having trouble with recruiting and hiring dancers. We have been using Facebook with limited success. Advertising in the local paper and radio isn't an option. I am just trying to see if anyone has any ideas how to recruit an keep dancers? The club tip out is only 10 dollars a girl.

For one, offer free house if they work with you. Since you are having trouble getting dancers I assume that means you are having trouble getting customers.

We average between 30 to 50 guys a night. But its hard to keep a steady stream of coustomers when you only have 4 to 6 girls a night.

Are the laws really strict out in Mississippi? What's the customer demographics like?

It's not to strict. Full contact dancers an pasties. Manly white blue collar an working men from oil rigs, paper mills an the coal plant. There is money to be made but its hard in a small town to find good dancers.

    Agreed

There is a reason dancers won't stay. On Wed and Thurs my club is dead. Between 4 and 7 dancers. Lucky to get 25 customers. I work Thurs because it's the night my demographic comes in and half the time I make more than what I get Fri or Sat. If customer's have money and are spending on the dancers, then you have an issue with the club itself. Management problems, sanitary issues, safety issues, etc. I REFUSE to work in a club I don't feel safe or comfortable in.

This ^^^^. If the dancers are making $$$ when they do work, it might be time to take a hard look at how the club itself is being run. These are important points here. Try looking at things from a dancer perspective, & don't be afraid to call the girls up & hear it straight from them why they don't want to come back.

Agree with both of you. The OP may not get it that a dancer doesn't like paying $10 when they aren't getting customers. I worked in a club like that where house was cheap because we weren't getting customers. Everyone quit because of it. Dancers are far more likely to stay without a house fee. Make the dancers happy and they will stay which usually means more customers. At this point you may even consider instead of charging them, to pay them. Many clubs I worked paid me when they were starting out.

Well were only open Thursday through Sunday 6pm to 1am. But the area were in is away from the city due to laws. I have talked to the girls and I have talked to the owners but its like talking to a brick wall. The owners are happy with what's coming through the door but the dancer's aren't. The club is 18 an up an they do a stupid 10 dollar cover an it gets the coustomers free draft beer till the kegs are gone.

Oh that's not going to attract quality dancers. What will happen is the few decent dancers will quit and will be replaced by the lowest of the low. Eventually it'll either close because they can't keep going or the dancers will actually be prostitutes and the club will be busted for that.

I know that is why I am going to find a new club but I hate to see one die with so much potential

O.o I thought the $10 buckets of beer in my club was bad. Yup there is the problem. They are coming in to get wasted for SUUUUPER cheap. I wouldn't even get paid to work there. The hours aren't bad, but the customer age limit and that amount of drinking is just a recipe for disaster. I can't understand why the management finds this acceptable. Let me step out of my heels and say there is no way for them to even turn a profit at the bar. Profits on beer are minimal and they can't seriously believe that they will stay afloat by giving it away? Wash your hands of this place, unless you are getting a nice hourly wage for advertising this place. If they want to throw their money away, let them throw it your way lol

Wardrebel, if you don't mind, what do you do there? sounds like you are trying to increase dancers so you make more money (are you perhaps a DJ?)which isn't bad but if management is as crappy as it sounds they won't get quality or many dancers. I agree, look for a better club because this one is poorly run.

I noticed that, but also thought maybe that was her point in posting the link. IOW your club is so terrible for whatever reason that no one even bothers to review it From what you've said abt mgmt & how they run this place, sounds like it's really time to start looking for greener pastures.

Yeah, also: Facebook is a terrible way to recruit, at least use BP or CL. That way you can actually target girls looking for adult jobs.

Dude, I'd just get off that sinking ship now if I were you. I'm sure you're just trying to help, but they don't pay you enough and the business practices the owners won't change won't bring in any money.

where y'all at in Mississippi? Are far from Memphis? Cause where I live Desoto county is about ten minutes from me, and Southhaven is about 25 minutes away from me.

You mentioned you all tried to promote on Facebook but most likely need to do paid ads not free stuff or your promotions will never get seen.

And someone from your club needs to put up a link to your club on Tuscl.com and other stripclub sites online for starters.

Does your club have a website? If not then get one up asap. and link it to Facebook. Plus get on Twitter and Instagram as well.
