I was finishing a drink after having gotten a few dances from a couple of different dancers, one of whom tried to upsell to a room, when the pricing structure seemed odd to me. I know pricing varies from club to club so I am just asking about the one I go to.
So a room is $450 for an hour, the club gets $200 the dancer $250. The best deal for the customer.
A 15 minute booth is $150. $25 to the club, $125 to dancer. So 50 an 250 after 30 minutes. Not bad for either.
It's $35 for a single song length dance. The split is 5 and 30. Assuming an average length of 3 minutes per song, 10 songs in the half hour that would be 50 and 300. Seems the best deal for the dancer.
I am excluding tips on purpose, because obviously that can make a big difference.
So why after 2 or 3 songs try to upsell me to a room? Why not try and keep me buying dances? Am I missing something obvious here?
