    Question Not looking relaxed???

When getting dances I will put my hands back behind my head, like you would do for doing a sit up. I do that so that the dancer, the bouncer, and the camera can see where they are. Plus after having read here about the gratuitous and unwanted grabbing, I figure if the dancer can see them, so much the better. Last night both dancers said to me it makes it seem as though I am not relaxed. The chairs don't have armrests, so can't put them there, and if I just let them hang down they disappear into darkness where nobody can see them. Both of them reached up and put my hands in my lap, considering they are true lap dances that doesn't seem to be the best place.

The guys I danced for who didn't touch would put their hands by their sides like next to their thighs.

Also, if you study body language then in general hands interlaced behind the head means power and dominance and is a territorial sign. Maybe they were the ones who weren't relaxed.

Or you could sit on them? Don't overthink it, just don't touch. Simples.

Never studied body language. Other than when I do sit ups for PT, I only do that when I am taking nap in my hammock. In my profession it also typically means surrender, certainly not dominance.

^ Well, the very rough fundamental basics would be; anytime you make your body look bigger/taller/wider its a sign of aggression and when you make yourself appear smaller its a sign of submission.

Regardless, girls aren't responding positively to the body language so maybe try something different. I'm out.

That's why I am asking the question, what I thought would be good isn't. So why not ask the professionals? So to the side it is.

Ah yes. It probably depends on the situation. Like if police is telling you to get out the car, putting hands on your head means like you mention surrender or even vulnerability. Or if youre doing pushups then it means neck support.

For me, when I do it means that I am comfortable or claiming space.

LOL! I had a dancer wear a “Sexy Cop” costume once. It was so unbearably hot I thought that I really did need handcuffs. I sat on my hands and bought an insane number of lap dances. I behaved myself, but I was exhausted when we were done.

This is known as a "power pose": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks-_Mh1QhMc

When someone is dancing for you, you're supposed to assume a 'submissive' posture to match her dominant positioning (in general). If you wanna get all psychological n' shit.

I would just put your hands by your sides. You could tuck them lightly under your thighs if you'd like, or let them hang, depending on the style of chair.
