This morning, I was taking a shower when my roommate came home from work to get something I guess. By then the water was cold (hot water doesn't last long here) so I know to save scrubbing my feet w/ my pumice for last, so I can get my body out of the cold water, but scrub my feet with it. This is what I was doing when I heard him *pounding* on the door.
He yells at me through the door. He's pissed that the water is running still, saying "I know you're not in there taking a cold shower, what's the water doing on? If you're trying to waste water that's pretty spiteful!" So I explain what I'm really doing, but I don't think he stuck around to hear me cause he didn't respond and I heard footsteps going away.
I'm pretty irritated and the pounding on the door scared me, and him yelling through the door and accusing me of 'wasting water' was totally out of line. So I write him a note, saying, "It is rude to pound on the bathroom door and yell through it while people are in there! Please do not repeatP.S. Mind your own business
"
Keep in mind I'm moving out in 2 days. So fast forward to just now. I go outside to smoke, come back in and he's waiting for me in the kitchen. He says,
"I'd like to talk to you about your note. At the end you said, "Mind your own business." I live here, I pay rent, so the water use IS my business. I was washing my hands in the kitchen and noticed the water is cold. I'm not fucking stupid, I know you're not taking a cold shower in there (confirmed he didn't listen to what I was saying this afternoon)
He then crumples up the note, throws it at the ground near the fridge, saying, "You can take this note and shove it up your ass! I just want you to know what I think of you I'll be moving my truck... the fuck out of here... (he was mumbling towards the end of his rant, but those were the little snippets I understood.)
So in response, I just say "that's great, Roger," (to which he says "It IS great!" WTF?) b/c, I just don't care what he thinks of me, and I'm not wasting energy arguing.
I can't believe how angry he is though. This whole time he's been waiting for a reason to attack me for ANYTHING, I know he has, I could feel the hostility. Still, how absurd of him, and not to mention extremely vulgar.

P.S. Mind your own business
