Default Taking pictures in locker room

I did a search for this and didn't find anything so apologize if it was posted before. I was working last night and shift ended and I went in the locker room to change. I'm walking in the locker room just in a g string and topless (I dance in a topless lap dance club).

So right as I'm walking past a girl I noticed she was taking a picture of her self in the mirror. She was in an outfit so probably posting it on instagram or whatever. But I just happened to walk past and realized that I might have been in the picture.

I kinda got freaked out for a minute because I barely know her (rarely work same shift) and here she is taking a picture that I might be easily recognized half naked. So I asked her if I was just in her picture. She kinda got $hitty with me at first because I asked her to let me see the picture. Sure enough my side was in the picture. So you could see the side of my face and boobs and butt. Probably not really enough to know it's me but just annoyed me.

Does your clubs have rules about camera pics in the locker room? Seems kinda hard to police given it's so easy to take pictures. And for the record I'm not against it just think it's common courtesy to make sure nobody else is in the picture unless they want to be. I've taken pictures before but I always make sure nobody is in the back ground. With mirrors it's def easy to catch somebody in the back ground.

The clubs I worked in had rules against photos in the club, but nothing about inside the locker rooms.

I agree, that is rude and I wouldn't want to be on someone's instagram without my knowledge. I'm always ducking when I see girls taking selfies. I don't like other people having photos of me like that in stripper garb.

Girls at my old club used to this ALL the time, it's rude, inconsiderate and a girl I know who ended up in the background of another dancer's #workselfie was outed by it . Most clubs have rules about photographs being taken in the actual club, but you would have to take it to management or a house-mum if it's going on in the DR (but I doubt it's an issue they would police).

one of the clubs i work in will FIRE you for taking photos in the dr. i LOVE it! i think you were well within your right to not be ok with being in someone's photo like that. we hate when customers take photos with us, why should we treat our coworkers differently? personally, i value my privacy and would have felt the same as you did. complete lack of respect on her part. i don't take photos of me in outfits at work. first off, i don't want to broadcast that i dance. i like to be discreet. what seems cute today can pose a lot of problems in the future. second, there's a lovely little thing on most cameras called 'geotagging' that can make location VERY easy to find on a photo. this opens a person up to a plethora of problems, stalkers being one of them. don't take photos with your camera or ever upload them onto the internet if you aren't comfortable with the entire world knowing about it. even with privacy settings, people can copy and repost photos.

I've gotten to know a few girls pretty well since working there. Never seen them take pictures. I think I'll talk to them and ask there opinion. Maybe a few of us can go to management and ask if something can be done. I'll probably let it pass this time though but last thing I want to do after working is dodging pictures while walking into the room.

i think you handled it the best this first time. management might just find it kind of a 'cry wolf' situation, sorry. what i wrote is mostly a caveat to girls who do take work selfies. seems cute or sexy, but it can backfire in the future. you can lose your phone, stuff can get out to the wrong people, etc. personally, i'd keep my eyes open at work and duck out when i can. do you have a housemom? i'd have her handle it.

I got in minor trouble about 2 weeks ago over an old picture that was taken months ago. It had some blurry figures but technically were against the rules. Ever since then I've deleted all DR selfies with background personnel and locked down my FB and IG.
Lesson learned. I only take dirty pics for my boyfriend or my lover. I've been posting a shit load of reptile selfies to compensate.

We aren't supposed to do selfies in our DR if others will end up in the pic. I have one I posted on here that has a couple of others in it and they are blurry. The girls had said I could keep it since you couldn't see their faces clearly, otherwise I would have cropped them out. I believe it's in bad taste to keep a pic like that if the other person/people object to it. Even if it is an accident. For pete's sake, you can take 10 secs and do another selfie.

Is that your face in your avatar? Really, the chances of you ending up on TMZ from some stripper locker room photos are pretty slim.

It seems that it is a privacy issue. Also remember that facial recognition software is already out there and will probably be used in the future in the same way background checks are used in the process of becoming employed. Making it harder for ladies in the industry when they attempt square employment. Years ago I had a stalker ex. He has found me a couple times before I left the state and changed my name. I have taken to the habit of wearing big sunglasses in public places where people are taking photo graphs. I even did this all the time in the dressing room of the last club I worked at. Because the problem was that bad. Girls were always taking pics not caring if u were butt naked in the background. I have no doubt that if my ex could get his hands on some facial recognition software he would use it to try to find me. I really wish more people had a sense of discretion.

I'm sorry but whether or not that picture goes anywhere, its still a violation of privacy IMO. If that same thing happened to me I would be rightfully pissed off since I don't want some stripper having pictures of me half naked, or even worse end up on their Facebook or instagram pages because of some stupid selfie.

Yes it is and I've also posted another pic when I joined but that's like comparing apples and oranges. And I'm not worried about TMZ or anything like that. But if I'm working with these girls chances are we live in the same area therefore might know the same people. I know a lot of girls also have FB or instagram pages just for there "dancing lives" and regular custies add them. So last thing I need is a custy having a saved picture from instagram of me naked then having an obsession of me.

Yea that was my biggest worry really. Because like I said above some girls have instagram accounts or FB just for there dancing. A way to get guys to come visit them at the club "Hey I'm working 5 to close come see me" it's actually a good tool for some girls. But if I'm in the back ground in the picture I'd be pissed and once it's out there the first time it's there forever to an extent.

This is so common in new York, especially in urban clubs, that if I tried to bring it up, I would probably be laughed at. Instead i just come to work with makeup already done and my outfit already on under my clothes and never stay in the dressing room. It's a pain in the ass, but I've had too many close calls and trying to get a hood bitch to delete a photo or let alone even ask to see it is a nightmare. I'm glad to hear its not like this in other places, but unfortunately in the types of clubs I work at, its a way of life. You even have girls taking selfies in the club and taking videos. Also managers and DJs post girls dancing on the stage, especially if there is money being thrown. And the bartenders are the worst ones. They're the hardest to dodge cuz they are constantly taking selfies. And some urban clubs have official club photographers.

this is why when my urban club switched to mandatory topless, I dipped. At least when it was more gogo, I didn't care so much. And sure enough, on the club's instagram now I see girls with their titties out on stage and this is management doing uploading to instagram. sad.

I've seen WW3 break out in my DR when girls have been taking selfies and other chicks realize they might possibly be in the background. But I'm neurotic as hell and don't even professional photogs take my pic when I'm out at dance clubs. I only went back onto social media after Redbook was taken down because those assholes would to on girls private pages and post their pictures onto the website with their damn stripper names attached! Such bullshit.

It is a completely valid concern. Someone else in this thread said a girl she worked with got outted by being in someone else's stupid selfie.

I've had to waste time stepping outside of the DR because girls were taking pictures, and I've been "outed" for over a year. Do I care if I'm in a picture even though everyone knows what I do? Yes. I'm not taking it and I don't know you. Put your phone down if someone else is nearby in the locker room.

It's not like you're taking it with friends on the sidewalk and I'm walking my dog in the background. I'm half (or completely) naked and you're probably sending it to someone. Wrong on every level.

As far as I know my club has no rules against taking pictures in the dressing room and I've even been able to snap pictures of myself on stage (when it was dead) without any of the managers saying anything. I think it's just common courtesy to try to not get other people in your pictures. It's rude and weird and just a thing you don't do, strip club or not. But of course there are always girls who don't care. I'm always super careful when I take mirror shots to make sure no one's behind me. Even if I'm not posting the pictures anywhere it's just weird and an invasion of their privacy.

In the dressing room at my gym some hoe was taking her pic and we were all there naked etc., and when I said *politely* it was against the rules I got a shit load of bitchy attitude.

So unfortunately this has become 'normal' to some people and trying to stop it will get you an earful of nonsense and attitude.

save it for after hours. ironically there is a club here where they all have fb pages and tons of selfies taken at the club and they all claim to be the hottest dancers in town when very few clubs would hire them other than that one.

Ok, I had to bump this thread with a rant.

Extras girls, or girls escorting on BackPage taking selfies in DR and then posting the selfies on Backpage with other girls in the background, cut it the FUCK OUT. Didn't give any permissions to be in your fucking DR pic or BP ad. Crop the other chicks out you classless hoes.
