    Default clip-in hair extensions

This is my first time using extensions so I'm not sure where to start.

I just went and got glue-in hair extensions, which was really, really expensive to do. I'm not even going to tell you how much, because I'm embarrassed that i spent that much on painful, stringy-looking extensions that will fall out in 10-30 days.

It seems like clip-ins are the best option, so i'm going to get those next. What brands do you girls recommend? I was about to try Luxy extensions but I saw a Youtube review talk about how much it sheds so i don't want to try that anymore.

Does anyone use Luxury for Princess or Layuri? How is that?

Or there is this site i found but i can't help but wonder if it is kinda sketchy, not sure why…. www.besthairbuy.com. I think they're having a sale though, which is tempting...

I've used the ones from Sally's & just doubled the tracks to make them thicker looking. If they come out too thick I run the thinning shears thru them. It's pretty good hair if u take care of them.

All the hair sites look sketchy and most hair will ship from China
when looking at the web and hair extension sellers look for the grade of hair
    Virgin Grade : 5A
    Grade : 5A
    Grade : 4A
I dont see the difference between these 3

^ True. Most hair is all sourced from china and the quality( least for my color) has gone so down hill. I pay 180 ag get about 20 wears .

    Hii Domina!

Giiirl! I did the same thing when I bought mine only I got the extension in one long piece. I cut it in to 7 pieces and sewed in cheap dollarstore clips! >_< It was a pretty shoddy done job. They lasted for maybe three months. I JUST got my new pair in from a site called , the hair is from china and I was worried the color was much brighter than my color but nope, they blend beautifully in and I'm happy with my purchase. The clips are good, they stay put! I love having long hair to whip around again!
(I got the 7pcs deluxe(135g) 22' inch set but I think I would have liked the "Luxury" 150 set better, just cause more hair

    Good luck!!!

You are lucky. Your color is usually not died so will last much longer and will be better quality. You can pretty much go with any company. I use sensual atm. Boheme brand is really good but like 300 for my length and doesn't come in my color but I don't think you will have a hard time finding a brand that'll last with your color.

I'm about to order some... My internet research led me to dirtylooks.us as a good company to go with. Supposively they hold up well and can be dyed and styled with no problem.

Just so anyone new to this can learn: 100% human hair-remy is the best quality. Then, human hair-notice no 100%. Then synthetic.

Companies are misleading. They will label Remy hair. then I look and it just says 100% human hair. The one company talked me into getting their remy and it was like 80 more and it was no better. I think I may change my color so i have more options.

No. I found imogen on youtube like 5 years ago. the consensus is they aren't worth the money( they don't come in my color). If you search yotube there are girls comparing them to other brands.

It seems like every brand has both really positive and really negative reviews, it just gets so confusing!

You can have a family member help or a friend for cheap? I used to spend a shit ton on micro links extensions but I am too cheap to spend that. I bought a kit and do it myself or have a family member do it and I return some favor to them now..

Try looking around for a wig store in your area, that's where I've always gotten mine and they are amazing quality. I also like that they match my color in the store so I know I'm getting the right shade and they can mix two colors together if your hair isn't all one shade. They'll also blend it into your hair for free. The most expensive you can get is like $180.
