In my area all the clubs charge $25 for dances and take $5

$10 floor dances almost everywhere (no cut). My last club, $25 VIP they took $5 from each. Current club, no dance cut but it's a $20 wristband to get into the $20 dance area.

$20/15 (Daydreams and DV)
$20/10 (Suzy's)
$20/13 (Pumptown under new regime)
20/15 seems to be the norm around here.

Out here we do get good tips. They have a "tip walk". Otherwise yeah.

The worst cuts I've encountered have been $25/10 for dances in one place, and 25% of VIP room money in another. In the latter case, and in all the the VIP-oriented clubs I've worked in, you kept all your dance money after making housefees and tipouts back.
The best cuts have been $25/20 in a club with no VIP, and a little over 50% in a VIP club.
The money is generally better in the VIP clubs, though, so it's not always as bad as it sounds. As long as you focus on take-home pay and don't fixate on the percentage breakdowns.

mine is currently $10 out of $30
vip is $30 out of $100
$75 out of 275 half hour

My club only has $20 dances we keep it all. Well, technically we also have $10 table dances but nobody really does those unless someone insists. None of the dancers ever bring them up. We keep the whole $10 too. We pay a house fee of around $30 (more if you come in after 9pm). This is the standard set-up in my area and I'd actually say that my club has one of the higher house fees, if you can believe it.
As you can see from the range of responses you've already received, there is no "normal" within the strip club industry. There is so much variation between clubs, even within the same city sometimes, that you just can't compare across the board.

My current club has $20 dances and we keep the entire amount or champagne rooms that the club takes $25 per each half hour, dancers set their own room price ($200 is normal).

At the 2 clubs I tried, songs were $25/each. At one club they took $20 from your first dance and that's it for the night. Another club took $50 from your first dance, unless you only did one then they'd take all $25 of your first 2 dances.
At the second club, I managed to sell table dances (later found out that club doesn't do them?) because I refused to pay that much for VIP. I don't get how girls can agree to $60 blowjobs when you're paying $50 to use the room?? Even though it's one-time, that's a lot to justify on a slow night.
Ugh! This thread makes me want to protest all strip clubs who take a cut of dance money. Especially if dances are fixed price. And their cut is more than 20-30% Then I start to think of club owners like legal pimps.
In theory we can charge any price for our dances and the greedy club started taking $5 per song. Like what the hell they do with all those extra $5's ???
“Cook for him like a housewife, fuck him good like a nympho….pay the rent and the car note, he invests in me like crypto”
$20 per lap dance. $5 to club

20 floor dances no touching we keep it all
3 songs for 100 club takes 20
2 songs for 60 club takes 12
fully clothed/ bikini club with minimal touching in VIP
“Cook for him like a housewife, fuck him good like a nympho….pay the rent and the car note, he invests in me like crypto”

$20 dances.. customary tipout is $3 per dance.. no VIP's.. bikini only
Unsophisticated in the finest sense of the word.

What I see is $20 lap and club keeps $10, per song, and we pay tax on the Whole 20. Basically those who have a end of shift club fee , or tip out, are doing same thing. Ill keep paying that tax on 20 and hustle 'em for more money I don't care to claim.

^ very true what Dancer Maria said! It makes my blood boil when my mngr will charge me a $30 house fee at cash out time even if I haven't done a single dance ALL night! She's never done that shit to me before until recently & I can't fathom why UNLESS they're simply trying to make up for their customer head count by charging us housefees on top of dance cuts. I understand just about every club takes a cut from our dances but fuck here lately they've gotten greedier & greedier. My club used to only charge us housefees when we had good nights (a VIP or a champange room) for the night, now it seems like they're trying to fuck us over even more.
About a month ago I had a bad night (only had 1 dance & he tipped me $30 but it was in funny money) so I thought i was leaving w/ $115 after cash out; nope! she charged me a $30 house fee plus the $10 from the dance (she's never done that to me before) so I left w/ far less than I should've . I thought that it was illegal for her to take MY tip he gave me but since it was funny money I guess it's different?
Bottemline is that over the years these clubs are extorting more & more $$$ from us dancers & I strongly feel that it's on behalf of their laziness & not wanting to advertise more for the club. My mngr likes to blame the girls saying that it's bc we aren't there on time yada yada but I call horseshit.

The way I am understanding this, ( from a few club owners I have dealt with in marketing), Is that its same as restaurants are. IF the employee ( Waiter or Bartender or Dancer) works say 30 hours a week, they "should" claim X% Federal income and X% State income. Its based on Hours worked, not how many dances you get or drinks served, or tables waited. IF the employee does NOT claim Enough tip % the Employer has to fork over the taxes for that employees missing amounts. ITs NOT based on reality ( Monday lunch dance shift vs a Thursday night) Its based on Hours only. So the fight for the good shifts kicks in, and coming full circle, its the clubs responsibility to try to improve slow days ( discounted food items, cover charge, etc) . I know girls who tell customers their next weeks shifts , just to try to get ahead of the tax crap with house payouts. Its more about taxes than corrupt managers "usually" > I would get a receipt for ANY payouts made mandatory ( Tipping out the DJ or bar I wouldnt bother, unless they MUST claim it all). Govt in our lives....

Couch $20 / takes $5
VIP half hour $190 / takes $90
There is another more expensive VIP which has random ladders I can't remember, because nobody goes there. But it's pretty fair. House fee is $18-41 depending on the shift and we don't have to tip out people.
