I am looking for a laptop under 220$ that would be good for camming. Using an old Mac but need something new. I plan to purchase the camera seperately and stop using the one built into my laptop 😂 if yall have any opinions, please let me know!

I like this, but I'm not sure if this is considered good

This what love? I think there's a link missing...
At $200 or so as your price range, it'd be difficult to get a really solid camming laptop. Cheapest I've seen for a custom built desktop was in the neighborhood of $700-$800. Laptops are even more because they're so darn small.

I have extremely fast internet and I planned on buying the webcam seperate. So I was really just wanting something less expensive considering those 2 factors are taken care of

Yeah, even with those factors taken out it'd be damn tough to find an i5 or i7 in your price range. There are a few threads that have been posted in the last couple weeks on computer set ups on the cheap, so if you look through Camming Connection pages here you should be able to get an idea of the price range on desktops and laptops the girls were discussing.

Honestly honey, it will be extremely hard to find a good laptop for $220 for even mediocre level camming let alone anything more than browsing the internet. You'll need to save $4-700 for something good.
If you're buying a separate webcam and have fast internet, you may be able to get away with an i3 laptop which can be had for around $400, maybe less, I haven't checked prices in a while. Do get a Logitech webcam because it is easier on the processor.
You also do not *need* an i7 laptop for camming, unless you plan to do video editing/encoding in the future, then it would be a great investment.

I manage with an i3 with desperate good webcam but I do want to upgrade to 4th gen i7 soon. It's so much less hassle to upgrade at the start xx

I did personally just upgrade to an i5 desktop (should have gone i7, but I was cutting costs). Before that, I had a $300 laptop I'd gotten for Christmas in 2013. It was dead by Christmas 2014 (like, same day and everything). The poor bugger didn't have an i-anything and my CPU sat at 90+% just to stream one site. It wore my old laptop out so fast to cam because the components really weren't up to handling SMs encoder, my camera, and the SM website all at once.
As others have said, it's less hassle to just upgrade from the beginning. I totally hear you on not wanting to cough up the cash as that price tag can really, really hurt to look at, but if you want to use sites that have encoders or split, anything below an i5 is going to wear out pretty quickly and give a less then stellar stream quality.
I would say check craigslist in your area. or a fb regifting group !

I've searched through the forums for computer vs laptop, and I am in the market for a new camming laptop. I would really like everyone's opionion or my camming ladies who cam from a laptop, give me advice on what they use or suggestions really! I have the lighting and the Internet speed down!

That's the goal eventually but I need something more cost efficient for now, my budget is around 300-400$

With that budget I'd probably go for a refurbished windows i7 if you can get lucky and find one on ebay or maybe an open box at best buy. I've occasionally seen them go for 400.

Ah thank you, I will look into it. I had someone refer me to rent a center but I wasn't sure if that's worth it or not

Hey OP, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but for future reference, you could have just bumped the other thread you started about this same topic. It's totally kosher to bump a thread to ask for more opinions from ladies that maybe didn't see it the first time around. https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...dies&p=2723715.
There's also this super-duper computer-shopping thread: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...puter-Shopping
And also this thread that goes into a lot of detail about computer shopping as well: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...hat-Do-YOU-Use
Those are two I can think of off the top of my head, but I think there are probably a few others that have come up in relatively recent history.
