Default what age is considered too old to become an exotic dancer?

I am thinking about becoming an exotic dancer. I have contacted a few topless clubs in the southern California area. I have been toning up and working out. Next I just need to get a few outfits and audition. I am 33 years old, and considering working as an exotic dancer, but I want to know if I am too old. What is the age limit, if there is any. Has anyone had experience either being or knowing an older exotic dancer or waitress? Thank you any feedback will be so helpful.

I'm 30 and look better than when I was 20. There is no such thing as too old, only too burnt out.

When you're uncomfortable and unable to make money. I've seen twenty year olds who can't make money and forty year olds who've bought home after home after spending all day in VIP. As long as you take care of your mind and body, age isn't too much of a factor.

If you haven't begun a thorough physical training program, either at home or in the gym, then start now. The many dancers I have seen who shouldn't be on stage had one thing in common--not advanced age, but a lack of physical training and diet. The best dancers I've ever worked with were or are mostly in their early to mid thirties.

It's not so much how old you are, as how old you feel.

If you are bubbly and energetic, with good looks, almost any age can be alluring.

Pretty is pretty. Just take care of yourself and you'll be fine. Most hot dancers in my club are 30 - up, & do well.

I don't think there is an age one is too old but be aware that some clubs do discriminate based on this. I've known dancers who were going to be hired by clubs until they found out their ages. I would hope most clubs hire based on how well you look, not your age.

Yeah diet, skincare and exercise matter a whole lot as you age. Those nights full of tequila shots and staying up until 4 AM is not something you should be doing into your 30s. & The older you get the slower your body burns fat. It's Nature and it's hard to fight.

I'm older, mostly always make money and I've rarely not gotten hired ANYWHERE. But I'm not gonna lie when I say I do everything to keep up in the looks dept. Plastic surgery, botox, fillers, gym, diets, peels, extensive skin regimen, etc, etc. Not everyone has to do that but I do !!!!!

I don't think there is an age limit. If you look good and have a fun personality, you'll do fine. One unique aspect of dancing is that, in most cases, dancers are not paid by the club. You'll depend on customers buying dances and tipping. When that slows or stops, you'll know its time to hang up the heels. Only way you'll know is to try. And, I've seen young, hot girls that can't sell dances. A good personality can go a long way.

I'm a camgirl, but I see ladies on the top of all of the cam sites who are well into their 30s and 40s and they make bank. Those ladies took great care of their bodies and kept their minds sharp. I think it's important to remember that men have different fantasies. Sure, there are 40+ year old men who only want barely legal girls giving them dances and 20-somethings who want women close to their own age, but there's a reason for the MILF category being a real-life thing. Plenty of men will want women closer to them in age if they're older or older than them if they're younger and have a thing for 'cougars.' It's all about looking and feeling good. If you can do that, the men should logically follow.

And hey, there's still always camming! #ShamelessPlug

I can testify you look damned good. I think I am the ultimate Late Bloomer myself (though I won't be getting on any stages when customers are in the club haha)

I actually thought about this but it's too hard to open a new club ( because of zoning, liquor license laws) it would have to be an existing on for sale and it might be hard to change what they all ready have going on. But yeah I really high end gown club with beautiful polished woman who can actually sell and talk to men.

My gf is 53 and just got hired at the lodge in dallas. A lot of twenty somethings I know have been turned down there and I've only been turned down from one club and that wasn't because of my age and recently in Az I was turned down from a club and but was hired at the other two that had better looking woman and I heard the one that turned me down doesn't hire anyone over 30. I was the only girl in a gown and I saw about 10 girls and only one was on my level( not being stuck up) and the girl I followed took my hand and said " wow you're gorgeous when I got on stage'. It surprisingly didn't bother me. The other club it kind of did but the other 2 were nicer.

It definitely should be based on looks and not age, that's for sure. Granted I've never been rejected on age (in fact a few years ago I was offered a dancing job I turned down because it was in a dive). I did know someone years ago who got rejected from one of the clubs in the Chicago area because they didn't hire anyone over a specific age and she was several years older than the cut off. I danced with this one woman who was in her 50's and amazingly hot. Of course there is also Dorien here who is so amazing. If I did get rejected based on age I would just say oh well and I dodged a bullet because if they are picky based on that who knows what else they'll reject on, maybe race.

whenever your money dries up..i think it has more to do with burning out than "looking old", especially if you stay hydrated, eat a raw balanced diet rich in good fats, and stay away from tanning/smoking/drinking/stress/drugs.
at 33, i really wouldn't even worry about that being anywhere near elderly , that's still young!! and stripping isn't all about looks either.

Most of my most memorable dancers have been older than 30, and maybe the most attractive one was, she said, over 45; durn, she was dynamite and looked like mid 20s. (This was another of my "kick-me's" turns out.)
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

I agree! I'm 31 and look waaay hotter than when I was in my 20s. I also make more theses days than I did 10 yrs ago. I'll admit I am def lazy LoL I try & skip stage work if all possible bc I hate what it's done to my knees overtime. I sell more rooms and have seasoned myself into an aggressive hustler. I have THE worst diet buy somehow I still look amazing for my carelessness. So no age doesn't matter!

Michelle, I think the link is a sticky; Am I too old, too flat etc to be a dancer.
