    Default Delaying period

I went on a little out of state trip last weekend to visit a friend. I knew my period was due at that same time and wasnt looking forward to having to deal with it while traveling.
I did a little research and read if you are on birth control pills and skip the 5 sugar pills at the end of the pack and simply start your next pack right away that you completely skip your period and it doesn't increase risk of pregnancy.
I tried it and it worked!
Has anyone else tried this? It's allegedly a safe thing to do from what I read. I can't help but be a little skeptical though since it seems a little too good to be true.

Yeah it's fine. The only reason you have a break is because women thought it'd put their mind at ease if they have a period every month.
There's no reason to have the break. When I was on the pill I just took it continuously without any problems.

That is totally fine. When I was on birth control pills I used to throw away the sugar pills so that I could skip my majorly painful and inconvenient period. Just keep in mind that sometimes your body can over rule and you might end up with some spotting. That happened to me after 6 months of skipping my periods with the birth control pills.

Audrey had a thread about this a while ago. It is completely safe and normal, when I took the pull years ago the nurse asked me if I wanted to do this.
