^ Yep, KY makes me bake bread every time I use it! Ugh. I haven't had any problems with Gun Oil if that helps you at all.

@LadyJezebel - If you switch up your lube and still can't find the culprit, you might just be working your pussy too hard. Pussy overuse, especially if it's rough, with large toys, or without enough lube, can cause yeast and bacterial infections, too. If you're getting tiny micro-tears in there, or just straight up wearing it out, it makes the whole ecosystem vulnerable, giving yeast or bacteria the chance to get out of hand.
It's the paradox of camming - doing our job can fuck up our ability to do our job.

I never thought of that! I've been worried about wearing myself out and do keegles (sp?) in my spare time haha but I didn't think it could be causing the infections. I think I need to get better lube that was not created by a vagina-hating sadist lol, keep using these better toys and also have a better post-cam self care routine. Thanks for the feedback because getting these infections isn't good with this job!![]()

I cringe thinking about this, cuz when I was a nurse, KY was our go to lube for catheters, vaginal exams, and random reasons to shove anything up anyones' ass. No one complained about burning/pain,,,,,,,,,,,,,the procedure may have been blamed instead of the lube and I believe it was used cuz it wouldn't degrade the rubber/plastic/whatever. Luckily, most patients were medicated by the time I did what I did. PS-I looked hot in those scrubs![]()

IDK what kind of coconut oil you're using, but Organic Virgin/Extra Virgin Coconut oil smells like coconut - because that's what it's made of. If there's no coconut smell, then it's not EV/V/unrefined, and most - if not all - of the antimicrobial benefits are usually processed out with the smell.
Raw organic coconut oil has the strongest coconut scent of all. Put on some pineapple essential oil and you smell like Pina Colada's baby.

The thing is, that's exactly what KY was invented for - medical procedures ONLY. It was never created to be a sexual lubricant! It's more or less fine to be used in small quantities to carefully insert a speculum, catheter, whatever, inside a person - the item goes in once, it stays for a bit, and then it comes out later. But when you're using it for sex purposes, think how many times the "item" in question gets shoved in and out (not very carefully), over and over, in a short period of time.* KY was NEVER designed for that kind of friction, and they never redesigned the original line for sex use before they stuck it in the "reproductive care" aisle. The real failing of KY isn't that the original version is a shitty product as a whole,** but that they labelled it for use during sex. They'd have been much more accurate to put it in the first aid aisle where it might be useful for... using a rectal thermometer, maybe?
I've tried to do a lot of research into the chemistry of lube and how it reacts with mucous membranes, and when I look at the ingredient list on original KY, it's pretty bad. It contains a lot of ingredients that would be very slippery, and assuming the person isn't extremely sensitive, would be great for a single insertion (medical use). However, those same ingredients, if used repeatedly in large quantities (sexual use), will suck a LOT of moisture out of the cells of your vagina, and that will cause cellular damage. Your vagina can rehydrate itself very quickly after your OB/GYN uses it one time during your exam. It will repair after you use it as lube, too, but it will take longer and the damage will be a lot worse. And that's when yeast and/or bacteria have a field day!
*It would be kind of interesting to know statistics about how many times per average sex act, or cam model shift, an item enters the vagina.
**Everything above is about original KY personal lubricants and jelly. I'd stay the HELL away from KY warming products (actually any warming lube). While original KY seems like a bad lube for non-medical purposes, the ingredients on the warming stuff actually scare me. Same for the couples KY product - "hers" contains stuff that I would never put in a vagina, including a numbing agent, and "his" contains honey, which should also never go in a vagina!
The KY Liquibeads are totally fine, though - they're just silicone lube in a gel cap.

OMG, I had NO clue that CO was made of actual coconuts! My intelligence is completely insulted, bb! There's a difference of "where" the oil is coming from though.
Organic Virgin/Extra Virgn CO isn't the "same" process. It just depends on where you get it and if the manufacturers are actually being honest with their product.
@SweetJulia, I apologize for giving you the wrong info. I use CO on my hair, refined mainly for the fatty acids. If you want more info on CO, please read below. I clean with different types of oils for my business.
Pure Coconut Oil-This oil is extracted from dried coconut kernels, which are also called copra. It is
crude, unrefined and without any additives. It is mainly extracted by compression of copra in a mill,
either driven by bullocks or by power.
Refined Coconut Oil-Is also known as RBD coconut oil, which is an abbreviated form for refined,
bleached & deodorized coconut oil. As the name suggests, this type is obtained by mechanically and
chemically refining, bleaching and deodorizing the crude coconut oil, to make it thin, colorless, odorless
and without any type of particle (such as proteins) suspended in it. What we then get is only pure
saturated fats.
Virgin Coconut Oil- Virgin coconut oil is derived from the milk obtained from fresh coconut meat,
and not from copra, by processes like fermentation, centrifugal separation and enzyme action. Care is
taken to use no or as little heat as possible in the extraction of this oil. Produced in this way, the oil tastes
and smells the best and is laden with antioxidants and medium chain fatty acids. It also has remarkable
anti- microbial properties.
Organic Coconut Oil- The coconut oil that has been extracted from coconuts obtained from
coconut palms raised only on organic manure and no synthetic fertilizers or insecticides. The production
of organic coconut oil is also completed without involving any chemical in its extraction or processing.
Organic Virgin Coconut Oil- This type of oil is basically virgin coconut oil produced from the
organic coconuts, in an organic way. This is perhaps the best and purest form of coconut oil one can
imagine, but it is rare.
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil- Among all the varieties of coconut oil, this is the most challenged and
controversial variety, as its very existence is doubtful and the name hardly makes any sense.
Cold pressing is one of the preferred methods for the extraction of coconut oil. The quality of coconut oil
depends a lot on the method of its extraction. Basically, there are two main methods of extraction of
coconut oil. The first is cold pressing of copra (dried coconut kernels) and the second is boiling of fresh
coconut milk.
Since boiling or heating destroys many nutrients and valuable components, coconut oil
obtained this way is not considered as good as that obtained by cold pressing, since cold pressing retains
much of oil’s goodness. Machine pressing and bullock/manual pressing are two methods of cold pressing.
Machine pressing- In this cold pressing is done with the help of an electrically or diesel-engine driven
oil mill. Most of cold pressed oil used in the world is obtained this way.
Bullock/manual pressing: The oil obtained this way has a better taste and fragrance and is more expensive since the production is smaller, it consumes more time and energy, and wastage is higher. In
short, it has a higher price, lower availability and better quality
