I'm 28, I have no idea where to shop anymore. Before I got pregnant (due next month) I would have described my style as very sexy and edgy. Now I'm at a total loss...where do you shop if you're in your late 20s, early 30s?

Yeah you can shop anywhere, jsut stay away from those teeny bopper stores like forever 21.

I say as long as you look good for your age, keep your style and keep shopping at your favorite stores. Stay young for as long as you can. I know women in their 40's with great bodies and young looks who can pull off sexy clothes that 20 year olds can not. It works for them, so they go with it and they pull it off well. Personally, I like the same kinds of clothes that you like, but as I've gotten older (I'm 24), I've started caring more about the quality of the fabrics. I used to shop at stores like Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe, but now I'm all about Bebe and Guess. It's still sexy, but its better quality and lasts longer. To me, those brands represent a more mature and sexy style that would be perfect for someone in their late 20s/early 30s. See what your body looks like a few months after you give birth and go from there.

I shop at Forever21 , Hot Topic (sometimes), H&M, those cheap asian stores, Rue21, Wet Seal. I like cheap stuff bc by the time it starts to tear up I'm sick of wearing it anyway![]()

Good taste is good taste at any age, I am in my 20's also but I used to wear cheaper clothes like forever 21 when I was like a teenager but now that were a bit older its just not ok anymore. I like high end stuff (when I'm not buying,) lol. but I still go for bebe, guess, true religion sometimes, zara, which really aren't expensive brands but there still cute.
I'm 27 and I shop everywhere from Nordstrom to Goodwill and Nasty Gal to Tory Burch. Most days I wear flats, jeans, a tee and a nice cashmere cardigan.
Personally I think you should keep on being sexy and edgy. Now you get to be a MILF!

If you're willing to do a lot of hunting, F21 sometimes makes toned down, more mature versions of whatever trends are going on that season. For like, $5-$30. It's disposable clothing, but it's generally good for a cheap, trendy item to fall apart once the trend passes.
I'm in my late 20s, and aside from picking up a few subdued trendy pieces every once in a while, I keep it incredibly basic, to the point of almost having a personal uniform. Plain gray shirt, dark blue skinny jeans. Didn't even notice I was doing it for years. I focus more on expressing myself through lipstick choices, so I'm not the right person to ask about where to get clothing. Just wanted to stick up for fast fashion (although let's not get into the ethics of it, lol).

Consignment stores, Ann Taylor, and Target.
I try to look nice when I go out since I spent most of my teens and early 20s in the dollar bin reject garments from a thrift store lol....I also grew up on the West Coast, which is more amenable to unique fashion.
im 34- I still shop wherever the hell I want and online and still wear baby tees with super heroes on them and my cargos and boots, or a sundress with corset on the outside or cami/corset/cargos-capris/open blouse when im in civi mode just as I always have. Age does NOTHING for or against what you like and can wear
granted one can argue what one shouldnt wear for their body types ans so on, but age has NOTHING to do with that

I shop at 10dollarmall, because I'm freakin' cheap and can't justify spending 15 on a pair of pants.
Also, +1 on Goodwill! Although I admit I always get distracted and end up buying 500,000 random paintings instead of clothes.
...basically, I've become a penny pincher with age.

34 here and I still wear clothing from ten years ago. I have always been a bargain hunter but I buy quality so it lasts and stays in style. Age is irrelevant. If you look good, enjoy it!

I am 29 and tend to shop at thrift stores to neiman marcus. I would suggest going to a few different places and just find store that fits your body type, and make you look most flattering. In my early twenties I had no curves and used to shop at certain stores. Now that I have more womanly curve I shop at stores I never thought I would.

I'm 45 and I shop at stores that cater to young women, as well as the big stores (Nordstrom, Macy's). You don't want to buy something that is obviously childish, but staples like cami tops and cardigans look good no matter your age.

Ohhh by the way if you want to indulge your crazy side in your late 20s, Betsy Johnson's line has awesome EVERYTHING & is frequently at Ross & TJ Maxx outlets. IMO Betsy's designs are a great way to wrap up your desire for quirkiness/sexiness in a well made garment.

OMG, I LOVE Ross!!! I tend to shop @ Discovery Clothing, they're not in all states..they're somewhat like F21. I buy solid colors that I can fake looking expensive w/good footwear. I also love Goodwill & other thrifts

I'm 30, but I'm still young as fuck. Why do I keep hearing people say that 30 is old? lol. 60 is gettin' old, but not 30! We are still young, babes!
I don't really shop anymore though, haha. I shop ebay mostly, and sometimes goodwill. I hate the mall.

mmmmmmm eBay.![]()

I'm 32 and I'll always be a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. My style never really grew up, I live in band tees, jeans, chucks, and boyfriend sweaters. In the summer maxi dresses. I do a lot of long tops/sweaters and leggings with heels or boots if I want a more put together look. I don't think age matters, just wear what you like and looks good on you.

I love Express. There's an Express Factory Outlet nearby that I'm excited to check out. There's a Guess Outlet nearby as well. I've never worn their clothes but I think it's similar to Express. Bebe is nice too! I'm going to let myself splurge and buy a few things there as a reward when I'm happier with my body. And I agree with Ebay. Ebay is addicting.
I don't like Forever 21/H&M or similar "trendy" stores. I hate how everything is laid out and the employees aren't usually helpful. I can't go into one of those stores without thinking "ew, is this really in style?" I don't know ... maybe I'm just not hip LOL.

Yeah Express is awesome but they closed the store at my local mall : ( Haven't seen those stores too often since then. Just my bad luck...

Look at fashion blogs for inspiration. It's not really where you shop as much as it is about how you wear what you wear. My mom gets things from Forever 21 and she's in her late 50's. There's no age limits to the stores you shop at unless you're shopping at like abercrombie lol. You can find quality pieces everywhere if you know what you are looking for. If your problem is simply trying to figure out what your style is changing to, reinvent your wardrobe from the bottom up starting with the basics (white cotton, black pants, neutral tanks, cashmere sweaters etc.) and look again to those awesome fashion blogs (fashiontoast is my personal favorite, understated and glamorous) or even pinterest for inspiration. Make a style board and put everything you like on there and then find the commonalities between the clothes you have pinned. It's an easy way to figure out what your style is evolving to without going out and buying things that you won't like in a month.

Yes^, I also like looking in magazines, People Style Watch, InStyle a few others..pop in Barnes & Noble or library & browse.

I like Forever 21 type clothes, we have some similar stores in my area. I think dressing for your body type is way more important than labeling clothes for certain age groups.
