    Default Valentine's Day gift

What are you getting for your SO this year?

I love offering gifts but I hate shopping for them and always wait for the last minute... I'm probably going to do my shopping tomorrow but I still have no idea what to buy, as always! We agreed on getting each other something small, I already got him clothing for x-mas and he has tons of perfumes so I am running out of idea...

just do something homemade and cute like a photo album or collage chronicling all the ways you love them or something simple 'n sappy like that hahaha. or maybe some sex toys or something. or just skip the gifts and plan the day together and spend your money on that

I want to do something good this year too! There is an art museum with picnics on the lawn ( with basket , mat , everything). I think I'm booking it for Friday. Plus I'll get food and champagne for Sat. Most likely. We have a routine to hide out on holidays at home / not be a part if the craziness.

I usually keep it simple...kinda. For valentines I get roses and fillers and make my own arrangement for her, plus usually a balloon and a sappy, or silly card. Then it gets tricky Feb 14th is also her birthday, and that truly sucks. Every restaurant is packed and all the florists and gift shops have been looted.

Its gotten so bad we usually go out to celebrate her birthday 2 or 3 days early.

Anyway, I always go for an arrangement I did myself, or I have done hand painted sweatshirts in the past.

I'm making him a Star Wars quilt... if it gets finished. I always underestimate how long it'll take to cross stitch things, and of course I decided to make the centerpiece a stitched rebel symbol.

I think we are gonna skip the going out to dinner bit though, I don't like crowds and on holidays the servers are always rushing to turn their tables and the menu is usually set, so meh.

My boyfriend and I are kind of in relationship purgatory so I think I'll give him a blowjob? He certainly loves those, and he never needs anything material. He's getting me a $200 white Brugmansia, which is a gorgeous flowering tree.

^ LOL. I think it's adorable, but men don't usually like butterflies. (Or is he an entomologist?!) It's the thought that counts though!

Yeah that's what I thought too... Not sure if he'll like it even though he keeps telling me to not get him something expensive but thoughtful. He even kept repeating I don't have to buy him a gift but I want to get him something!!

I shopped online for 2 hours and still can't find anything, I don't know his tastes! Instead I keep coming across things I know my ex would have loved... -_-

It's so much easier buying gifts for a girl...

I got my bf this insulated meal plan cooler that holds 3-5 meals, nutrition supplements, water and utensils. It's made for athletes or really anyone to help keep their nutrition and fitness goals on target. He's really into body building and could bring this to work with pre made meals to avoid eating badly during the day.
Not the most romantic gift lol but neither one of us are very "romantic" type of people anyway.

    That's a brilliant idea!

My friends who are very into fitness are always carying their meals, protein, fruit in multiple different containers and bags... Your gift sounds so much more practical haha

I'm going to try one of those crafty little "Man Baskets". Today's our anniversary, then Valentines Day, and next week is his Bday so hoping to encompass it all in one little basket thing. I'm throwing in some of his favorite stuff. Like his favorite candy, BBQ sauce, beer/alcohol, scratch offs, undies ( so lame but he really needs them lol), hot new undies for me to wear, maybe a new beard trimmer and I'm thinking about getting the sports package for cable. Idk kind of like a hodgepodge of items.

If he has a Gillette or Schick razor with a disposable cartridge head, those disposable cartridges are freaking expensive and it never hurts to have a stockpile of them. If there's a sports bar or pub he likes to go to, a gift certificate there is about more than just the $$$, but also about saying 'here enjoy some time out with your friends.'

Just in case anyone wanted an answer from a guy other than "hurr durr BJ and steak."
