Default how to lighten to a "bronde" color??

ok so my hair is a dark brown , and i want to get it to light brown/"bronde". i've run out of hair salons to go to, really don't feel like paying upwards of 100 dollars for incompetence and orange hair lol. my hair was unsuccessfully lightened previously ( had orange brassy tinge, ew) and i went to sallys and dyed over it with a dark ashy brown myself. and it still looks ok, but i just want it lighter..so do i do a bleach? lifting? or maybe a color remover, and then see where i'm at?? i want my hair to be this color ..or do you think i should get it done at a salon somewhere?? cc72b7df4de4709b453c55468a04eac8.jpglinda_blair_bella2.jpg

You might have better luck lifting it and then using a toner. A toner will take all of that brassy orange color out when you lighten it Although I dont know what to do since you already dyed over it with a darker color?

You need to do a lift, try a mild or medium developer and then do a color mix. You're better off waiting until you can afford to go to a really good salon. I wouldn't really experiment with chemicals if you aren't a licensed Cosmo and already know about these things. So you should stick with your natural color for now.

Right, since you already did what you did, it's now kinda tricky for a 'self redo'..can you look on yelp, or Allure.com for stylists? I found a great stylist in my area from yelp, I feel one of the best I've ever had, the salon only had 4 reviews (all good) & not super pricey. Can you @ least try a consult or two?
I know it's a pain, but as mentioned above, it's kinda tricky..
    Good luck hon.
