Default Screening under Canada's new super annoying laws

(Apologies in advance if this is a bit rambly, I'm posting this as I go to bed)

Right now working in Canada, my only method of screening is provider references and forum handles (which works fine). However, I really feel like I'm losing out on some good clients this way, because if a client doesn't have references then I just don't see them. I've never heard of anyone in Canada asking for employment verification (there's no threat of being arrested, so it's not really necessary) and most clients are hesistant to give out any personal info at all - I can search the phone number/email they give me, but that's about it.

Are there any Canadian/Swedish/Danish/any other countries with the same model girls that have found a way to screen people without references? I've read through most of the screening threads on here. I'm sticking with my tried and tested reference program for now (better safe than sorry) but it would be nice to hear if anyone's come up with other options!

Honestly I've been operating off a closed client list. Until I find out how they're going to enforce PCEPA I'm refusing new clientele altogether. Not what you're looking for in a reply, but its the only way I can guarantee safety for everyone! Hate this law so freakin much.

Honestly the laws hasn't really affected how business operates for most providers in Canada.

If your reference method is working then stick with it.

I am sticking with my same screening method before the laws and post laws and. You have to look at it the clients who pass your screening and are willing to do it are the clients who you are attracting.
