    Default facial recognition?

Hey, girls! I've been lurking for a while...
I've done independent cam modeling for the fast year, off and on but I think I'm now ready to join a site. I was wondering, would it be a good idea to delete all my personal social media accounts so that a facial recognition device could not scan my face on a cam site/camming social media account and then end up matching with my personals? I'm honestly not that worried about people finding out but I would like to prevent it as much as possible. Also, any other privacy tips you have would be greatly appreciated.

I actually randomly thought about this the other day because I got a rash of strangers friend requesting me on my personal Facebook the other day. It was just a curious thought about facial recognition software. I've pretty much accepted that at some point and time I'm going to be found out, so meh it is what it is. I just keep my personal page as private as possible and only have FB so I have less to monitor. Guys can request and message you all day but you don't have to approve them so to me it's just a by product of this job. It can happen both ways too. My sister in law who has no idea what I do called me the other day because someone used her photo from her Facebook on Adult Friend Finder for their profile. I did throw out there a " Omg yes me tooooo" just incase she came across mine in her google searches lol.

As far as privacy I do use geo blocking for my homestate and some surrounding states that I have family. It's not bulletproof though and doesn't always work from what I understand. My state doesn't allow P.O. box addresses on your DL any more, but if your state does you could do that just to be cautious about your uploaded documents. I use a different email with my made up cam name for all my sites and anything to do with camming, same with amazon. On my cam twitter I have it set to approve followers just to make sure it isn't someone I know. I don't have a cam FB, only bc I feel like I'll wind up in that "people you may know" section lol. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but I think there's a security/safety/privacy sticky at the top of the cam forum.

If you wind up being too worried about being found out maybe think about PSO? At least there you can purchase model photos to use as your profile photos. I did that when I first started out.

I'm a camgirl to fund my "real" career (music), so it's imperative for me to stay connected on social media.

About a year ago, some creep came into my room and started blasting my full name and location all over public chat. And when I banned him and told him to fuck off, he just used another username and kept doing it. He bragged about how easy it was because of facial recognition software. I eventually had to stop camming until MFC admin told me they had blocked his ISP. I haven't been harassed like that since then but it was still scary as hell!!

As far as I know, other than deleting all of your social media accounts, there just isn't a whole lot you can do about it. I try to make my pictures as dissimilar to the ones on facebook and instagram as possible, just for good measure.

Shit that is scary. In my camming career, I have been noticed by (i think) 2 guy friends that have at least made it obvious they found me. Other than that, I am sure I have been noticed by many more.

    Thanks for the responses
I think I might just delete all pictures on my personal accounts... I'm a bit of a social media addict lol.

I don't know a lot about the technology, but I am wondering if a person used a photo that was overexposed slightly (say for example, so a person could not draw an exact line around a nose) if the software would still pick it up and recognize the person?

Or, if the face is at an angle and not facing full forward for the software to measure the features...distance between eyes, etc. Does that make sense?

I'm with you all - I know it's just a matter of time before someone sees me (if they haven't already) and I don't care too much. Still, I'm not in a hurry to accelerate the process.

God I'm paranoid about all of the above too. From what I researched, it still helps to never face the camera directly or don't have your whole face on camera or in your social media pictures. So I could go emo and grow long bangs to cover most of my face (lol).
I think in the end technology will surpass us, but for the moment I think they're still working on a fairly simple frontal grid.

Whats scary about this tho, is this....if they have a picture of you say off of the site you are camming on and they run the face recognition software and then it links back to your facebook and they have your real name? Then they can look up your address and then stalk you? I was talking to an old friend from high school a couple of years ago and all he did was google my name and he pulled up my current address all because when I was with my ex we sub contracted for a roofing company and I had to get a DOT # for our truck. So now if someone googles my name, they can see my current address on a truck driving website ;-(

But say if you use a picture for camming that is not on ANY of your social media, can they still link back to your facebook profile and get your name?
