Default Traveling to Phoenix next week

    Hey all!

so I'll be coming to Phoenix next week and staying for 7 days. Just booked my flight from the Bay Area, CA. My friend who has been working there unfortunately has to go out of town last minute so I'll be flying solo! I'll either be trying Christie's or Bourbon Street! Would love to see a familiar fellow SWer if any of y'all live/will be working there next week! Cheers!

Let's just say I left a few days early... Christies was a beautiful club with awesome managment.. Just dead as a doornail. Came back to SF and killed it last week with the Game Developers Conference in town. Macworld this week as well

The one in Phoenix. I really would have loved to bank there because as i mentioned, managment, hosts, and housemoms all extremely nice and really seemed to care about the way the girls are treated there. I worked from 11pm until 130 and made a few hundred, but just not enough for me to travel away from home for. I worked at Bourbon Street one night as well. Manager was a total asshole and while the girls were all hot, the customers were not my cup of tea. All very young... Way too small of a club for me, and I felt super awkward with the type of music they were playing. Hardcore rap, not really my style. Phoenix is interesting with the way that the alcohol is handled and it would take some getting used to, for me. I'm used to SF and Vegas where you can drink with customers. Michelle, is drinking with the customers allowed in Reno? I saw your post about hot August nights a few years ago. Was thinking of working at Men's Club a few times this summer.

^ Yes. I hated that too. But at Christies you are allowed to drink in vip. But yeah if not they allow you 3 measly weak drinks at the back bar. I did like the fact they made it harder( because like you I like to drink with customers) and sometimes gets overboard.

Sorry you didn't do well. But you only worked 2 nights?? Traveling is always a gamble. No one goes to the Christies in Phoenix anymore its always dead and there is a lot of clubs in that same area (Bourbon Street, Le Girls, Sugar 44 etc). I'm surprised to hear that about Bourbon Street. I always hear how good the $$ is there especially on day shift. Christies in Tempe would have been better. Also Sonnys in Chandler and the other East Valley clubs are doing good. Phoenix has been very good since Dec. I live here and have been hitting 1000 or more twice a week with no regulars. The club I work at does not allow us to drink openly with customers either. They can buy you a drink but we have to drink it in the dressing room. Weird.

Christina2013, where are you working in PHX? I've been at Bourbon Street a long time. Yes, there are very nice managers but the owner/manager has final say and he is an asshole. He has a notoriously bad temper.
