    Duh Egg Donor Taxes

    Hello Ladies,

Just a heads up that a recent groundbreaking tax case has decided that money received from egg donation IS taxable income rather than payment for pain and suffering. Prior to this lots of donors were successful in arguing that the payments were not taxable. I'm headed off to dust off my old 2012 donor contract and financial documents to deal with this.

From a 'legal' standpoint, this IRS Tax Court interpretation appears to follow along similar lines as Sugar Baby income. In essence, egg donor compensation, like Sugar Baby compensation, is officially considered to be 'payment for services rendered' ... and as such is fully taxable ordinary income.
