    Default Nova Scotia/Maritimes

Does anyone know much about the scene in Nova Scotia? From what I can tell it's still just Ralph's Place, which I grew up around the corner from so would rather not dance at (I'm so young that most people from high school still live with their parents, so in this neighborhood). Also, is NS still stage-only? I think it's still a three-foot boundary, which makes even air dances impossible. Boo.

If NS is totally dead save for Ralph's, anyone know about New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland? Just Atlantic Canada in general. I suppose I could go to Quebec or Ontario but would rather not go that far right now.

If worst comes to worst, I might try Massachussets-Maine area.

I've heard good things about The Cotton Club in Newfoundland. Haven't worked there myself, but I work with dancer who was there within the past couple of months and she said it was good earning potential. I haven't heard much about any other clubs in the Maritimes, but TUSCL says there's nothing else in NS but there are 3 others in NL and 2 in NB, so maybe give those a shot?

FWIW Ontario and Quebec can have good earning potential, so they could very well be worth the trek -- especially since Porter often has decent sales.

I second the Cotton Club! I worked with a some girls who would fly out there for a few weeks at a time and they always did well.

Also, sorry this is so general, but I knew a few girls who would go out to dance in the small French speaking towns in New Brunswick, and they said the money was pretty good. It would probably be beneficial to have some grasp of the French language, though, especially Acadian French.

As far as I know, there aren't any strip clubs in PEI.

I think if you don't want to go far, NL is your best bet!
