Default Good outfit colors with my hair/skin tone?

Hey ladies! So I've been blonde most of my dancing career, and recently I went to a burgundy/violet sort of red with blonde underneath.
Most of my dancing wardrobe is either black, white, or pink; the pink seems to clash except for one very pale pink shirt, I'm sick of white, and I feel like I'm a little too "alternative" with all black. I'm pretty clueless about this, since I've never had to consider my hair clashing with my clothes, and most of my civilian wardrobe is dark colors as well.

I was hoping you girls could point me in the direction of some good colors, or else ways to make a black outfit look more Barbie and less goth-y. I'm relatively pale, though I tan a few foundation shades up in the summer, and my eyes are in the blue/grey/green realm depending on makeup. I'm going for a stereotypical fake stripper look.

Also, I've always rocked mostly silver jewelry, but now gold seems to go better with my hair... but I've always heard people are either "warm" or "cool"... and admittedly, the gold jewelry looks better than silver when I put on darker foundation. Would you base this on complexion or what?

    Thanks in advance!

I always like green in the club, or yellow. I'm a neon kinda girl though and I think it pairs so well with black. With your hair and a good tan, green and black would look very sexy!

Well, I like chartreuse..it's a green-ish yellow. It can be (depending on intensity) a neon. It'll make you look tan even if you're pale. Colors should be based on your complexion, but w/the hair color, not sure. Myself, I'm a blond w/warm tone skin, yellows usually don't look good, but the chartreuse does on me. I think it may work for you.

Blue accentuates a tan and would make the red in your hair really pop! Just be careful to stick to bright shades, because muted baby blues look beige under a blacklight. I'm thinking this color scheme would look cute:

whirlerz, there's a pic in the Pics of Yourself thread

I was thinking blue as well, kaninchen. Darker blue like that would definitely work. I wonder how a turquoise would look.

Jewel colours. Think of the colours in a peacocks tale and you will be spot on.

Can wear clashing colours if you wear jewellery close to your face with a flattering contrast to the clash colour.

Wear the black with all gold jewellery, dangely earrings and a bracelet,/studs and a necklace and watch, /anklet and toe rings- I do this with a massive bun on my head. Guys love me with my hair up, I always get Money.

Go for - gold, things that "look" warm. Guys are intensely visual & your outfits make them feel a certain way (especially after they have a few vodka shots in them.)

If you have a "cool" skin tone, this is a bit harder to do since some warmer colors can look "off" on that kind of skin. Neon & jewel tones are a safe bet for these types of women.

In general what is really popular with guys is "crazy shit they don't see all the time" type of outfits....(think Sexy Brazil but with less LSD lenses.) Guys are so weird.

I agree about the jewel tones..also, how about you trying on some outfits for color to see how they look? you could try on regular stuff just to see how the color looks on you.

^ I literally don't own anything other than dark colors so that's not really an option lol

I agree that blue and green look amazing with red hair, purple looks pretty as well (I wore a lot of these when I went red once, they really popped). Pastel pink, blue and green can look cute too, depending on your skin tone. Red can also be sexy (think Jessica rabbit or Satine in Moulin Rouge). Gold and silver also suit any hair colour usually, and look "stripper-y" not alternative and prints/patterns do also. When I had jet black hair, I found that I looked less washed out in black lace instead of black Lycra or solid black etc.

It's funny that you noticed your jewelry clashed, when I went from black to blonde gold looked better on me too-I think you are right that it's warmer.

Enjoy rocking your new hair .
