Default Clients keep talking about money

I am working at a brothel and erotic massage parlour. Different sections under the same mgt. Different customers on each side.

Lately I keep getting asked about the money. The customers, especially younger guys mention that I must make good money. Ask why Im there (Oh im just so horny! I love people!) Or older customers go on and on about how I probably make good $$, how much people pay for sex etc etc

It feels very invasive and breaks the atmosphere i'm creating. I do not want to talk about the job side of it with a customer. EVER.

Anyone else experienced it or find ways around it? I'm just going quiet or changing the topic. Or I just smile and giggle.

Its just an icky general feeling of clients trying to pry into my life and find out things about me.

Questions like that are rude and a real mood breaker and it's such a cheap, newbie thing to say. I mean it really gets me out of character when I get a question like that. I would redirect to back to them and say something like "I'd rather get to know you a little better first." I always try to take the lead during an appointment, if not they walk all over you. It's not as hard as it use to be, but still hard because I'm not a take charge person in real life.

Ugh, I agree, that is such a mood killer! I never understand why clients are so nosy about money. Actually, why everyone is so nosy about the money we make. When friends ask, I'm just kinda like "I have good times and bad times... just like any other self-employed person." I don't understand what is so mysterious about that...

When a client wants to talk about money, it depends on what they ask. If they just say something like "You must make a lot of money," I say something like "It's definitely a perk!" If they ask "Why do you do this?" I say "I love the one-on-one interaction with people and the schedule flexibility." If they really press for the full story, and blatantly make it about money, I'll tell them that I got into it because of debt, but now I stay because I ended up 'loving it.' They seem to like that story. I've now been doing it long enough that it feels believable that I now stay for other reasons besides debt.

When I get the most annoying of them all: The regulars who ask "How are you doing on money?" I always say "I'm doing great! It's been a good few months." And then maybe talk about something big I just purchased. Seriously, how inappropriate. I don't care if they'd give me more money if I said I was struggling - I don't want their "pity money." Like, what a weird, indirect way to imply that I suck at my job or something? Idk, but for anyone who asks, I'm always "doing great."
Don't try to win over the haters. You are not the Jerk Whisperer.

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

You guys are right, It is a total mood killer. Its annoying as f*ck to be bombarded by questions that are pointless.

I recently encountered a guy who promised me some vip action so I stayed and chatted with him. But the more he bombarded me with questions about money tried to assume that I wasn't making any money ("hmmm your earning have to be pretty low compared to dancing in other cities") the more I realized I needed to leave the conversation - abruptly.

I realized I had to get away from this f*cker because not only was he lying about getting dances and wasting my time but I didn't want his assumptions and beliefs to become my own.

When I am in my zone aka hustle mode I have very little tolerance for bullsh*t questions and comments. Anything not in alignment with how good I look or how much time we will spend in VIP goes in one ear and out the other.

You nailed it. You've got me the room with you or in your case VIP room, what's with the bullsh*t questions. It's time to sh*t or get outta the kitchen!!! Your committed pal.

You've given me a better idea for redirecting when I guy asks the about money. I could say "Of all things to talk about, how about saying how nice I look?" I think I've got to work with it a little.

alot of people don't understand that even at a brothel in Nevada if you discuss prices etc outside of your room it is still "solicitation" you can only legally and contractually discuss money in your room!
