Default care and feeding of vinyl thigh high boots?

I got an amazing pair of vinyl thigh high boots today and they look hot as fuck but I'm concerned about making them last. I don't do much pole work. I mainly got them to help protect my poor old knees during floor work and I don't want them to crease or wear out around the knee area. Any suggestions? I've heard of putting Vaseline on vinyl but feel like that might break down the material.

Yes, I've heard about the vaseline too, you could get a 'natural' version of it. Vinyl can & does crack, which's why that's recommended. Just wipe them down after wearing, inside & out too.

Edit: O hey, I just thought of coconut oil! try just a little on there, wipe off w/clean towel. To keep from cracking.

Most of the reputable sites and stores that sell them also sell sprays and wipe on/off cleaner for them. I got a bottle of it with mine.

I used Armor All or a generic version of that on mine. Oddly enough some boots can last for over a decade (like mine) or break apart in months (I'd witness dozens of cast-off boots in dressing rooms everywhere with snapped heels and torn toes.) To be honest after months of heavy use the smell of the boots will prevent you from wanting to keep them forever. Most girls alternate pairs once they can afford a spare set or two.

They have these little packets containing silica they're packaged in w/food snacks..they prevent moisture. You could toss those in ur boots after wearing. Also, they sell it in larger quantity @ like Menards, Home Depot, etc.
One of the brand names is Kaboom, Damp Rid. It's in a tub/pkg, but you could put it in a mesh thing & leave inside ur boots

Yeah I re-use silica constantly. You can also grab random packets at Ross or shoe stores. #cheaposkillzzz

Also stuff boots with brown paper...over time creases and folds can become scarring on pleather.

I saw a hint in a mag to keep boots standing up straight, put those 'noodle' things in 'em that kids use for swimming. Or a rolled up magazine.

Thank you ladies! I don't expect them to last forever but everyone's advice should help me use them for a while before I add them to the graveyard of broken and smelly old stripper shoes in the corner of my closet. I only dance a few nights a week so if I alternate those with my regular heels that should help with the stinky factor and help them to last. I wore them Thursday night and I had to take them off after four hours because I was getting really sweaty (I usually work 6-7 hour shifts) but they were a big hit and I was pleased with how comfy they were. These are the boots that I got if anyone's at all interested:

Ooh, Love! Would help if you put inserts in the boots, for perspiration?
