    Default Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania Clubs

Hello fellow dancers! A few girlfriends and I are planning a trip to Pittsburgh to work Thursday-Saturday at a club that will not only pay for our expenses but also put more money in our pockets than our home club. We are looking for a CLEAN environment where we can expect a minimum of $400 (preferably more) a night. We are only going for 3 nights and do not want to waste our limited time on a club that won't hire all of us or where there will not be a good crowd to hustle. I do not do many pole tricks but can put on a very energetic crowd involved stage set. I'm a slender white girl with not much of a booty and am traveling with a very talented black girl. The only reason I'm throwing out our races is because I know from experience that some clubs are black girl clubs and some are not. We really do not want to split up and want an equal opportunity to make money. I hear Cheerleaders is a great spot but the woman on the phone could only tell me to show up and audition then if hired they would go over rates with us then.

So my question for you lovelies is what are some good clubs in the Downtown City area to work at? And if any of you have worked at Cheerleaders I would appreciate some information on rates/customer expectations/girls etc.

    Thanks!!

The most helpful info I can give you is that Blush has offered free accommodations to traveling dancers on their property (located in a former hotel; secure building in downtown cultural district) In exchange for working a set number of shifts per week. Although mgmt can be an absolute nightmare, I bet you can survive a short trip without incident. The only club that rivals it's income potential is Cheerleaders. Good luck!

Blush is very stricT!!! Ive worked there years ago. Albert, the owner either likes you or not. And he doesn't like ladies that party.I was a bit of a partier when I worked there. So after a few trips I made there he didn't want me back. I mean after all, it is the freaking stripclubs biz. Therefore, because he has unreal expectations of dancers there's a huge turnover.

Also, to get hired at Blush and for the owner to give you housing you really have to have everything on point. He will only hire, keep and give housing to women that are about 7,8s and up. Very attractive, nice, quiet, no prostitution, drugs, drinking or drama. And if you do any or these things or piss him off even the day you arrive he will boot you asap. And or if you do anything illegal he may even have you arrested. And be careful putting anything in the club "safe" because if he fires you when you least expect and you didn't retrieve your money before you get fired don't expect to necessarily get your money that was in the safe. I've seen this happen. Albert, the owner is very powerful in Pittsburgh. So if you plan on going there only go if you're a "clean" dancer.

In addition, you don't have to be as hot to be a house dancer there. But you do have to be really hot and clean for him to give you housing.

Nyla isn't wrong about any of that. Except maybe Albert being a "powerful" figure in the city. I dont believe he actually has any influence over anything except his club, which he admittedly runs like he actually IS the most powerful/influential person on the planet.

Girls, don't let any of this scare you too much. There is good money in this club. Alot of it. We're just trying to warn you that, as I said before, mgmt is a nightmare.

Your situation, however, is the only one where I'd recommend dancing there. Go in, be professional, make your money and GTFO.

Dancing there for an extended period of time may have adverse affects on your mental health. lol

Piper_ferris, have you worked at Blush? If you have, you will notice that there is a REAL police officer that works there doing security many days. Something like that is almost unheard of. It obviously takes a lot of "pull" to do something like this. If you don't believe me, google it. And I'm sure that many will agree with me that to get away with this is no easy feat.

And everything I wrote about Albert and the club is true. So to accuse me of scaring others isn't accurate. There's a difference between trying to scare people off and giving them a fair warning of the problems that COULD occur if they work at Blush.

    Sad Re: Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania Clubs

Nyla- relax, girl. I straight up agreed with everything you said except Albert being some super-powerful person. I wrote that "WE'RE (we, as in you and me) not trying to scare you" with our information. Again, I agree with practically everything you wrote. It's pretty spot on! Sheesh. Defensive much?

Wait, except the part about the cop. You're kinda really wrong about that.

Tons of bars in Pittsburgh hire off-duty police officers for the weekend nights. It doesn't take special influence. It's not unusual. Granted, these bars are usually in Pittsburgh's southside (which is like a "mini Bourbon Street" and can get rough). Cops hang out at the door in uniform and are paid under the table by the venue to discourage people from acting up inside.

I've worked at 7 bars in Pittsburgh and 5 of them had cops. It's no big deal.

I'm not saying that to be argumentative. I'm saying it because its true.

And Nyla, I'm not sure how you took offense to my previous post, but it would appear that you did. That wasn't my intent at all. I just wanted to add my own take on Albert and encourage dancers to look into the club cuz the $ is good, despite the less-than-inviting information WE gave.

Going off of what you both said, I would agree that there is a lot of money at Blush, and that they do run a "tight ship" there, so to speak. I've also seen management act outright racist/cruel to dancers during my time working there, but I was always willing to shut-up, kiss ass and do my own thing there (I'm white/don't drink much)...I've worked there on and off from like '12-present...have been there when girls have been arrested for soliciting, and have watched them slowly clean up the club from the time I started there, which has been very interesting, to say the least. I enjoy working there more now that I don't do it regularly (from traveling), and actually look forward to returning there to catch up with some familiar faces.

I was a drinker there. I think that I wanted to drink there because of the weird vibe there.

The dancers that drink don't have a long shelf life there.

i worked at that club about 5 yrs ago and it still sticks out in my mind as place where i have seen the most strippers cry. i have never seen management be so consistenly rude and disrespectful to its dancers

there was money though if you were able to stomach it
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

It might be okay for you! I just won't work in clubs when I get a strange vibe from the management anymore. If you're not a drinker, plan on having sex in the VIP, or have drugs in your room then you should be okay.
