how soon after giving birth should I start dancing? I was thinking 2 months should be enough.if I exercise and eat right during pregnancy (which I am) my body should look ok at 2months postpartum. I'm 5 months and have gained 10lbs so far

Everybody is different and no one can really answer that for you....

I felt PHYSICALLY ready less than a month after giving birth, but I felt EMOTIONALLY ready almost at the fifth month mark. In the meantime, I started to bartend and took a few waitressing gigs for extra cash in the meantime.

My friend started dancing 6 weeks after her first baby. She's a small girl and got big pregnant, but was tiny (besides boobs/hips/ass) right after delivery.
Mentally though, I don't think she was ready. Dancing really seemed to bother her. If I were you I'd take it as you go and see how you're feeling when the time comes. It's always good to have a goal in mind, but don't push yourself if you're not ready.
I went back as soon as I stopped bleeding. No stage until I got a work release from my Dr at my 6 week check up though. I work in a dive, so when I went back in with some baby weight it didn't matter. Not everyone can or wants to do that though. I have better self esteem now at 125 pounds than when I was only 95 pounds.
Seriously, no one can say when you should go back. It is a decision to be made between you and your Dr.
One of my friends started dancing again a month after she had her last kid but she is one of those tall, naturally thin girls that you would NEVER guess had pushed out two babies if she didn't have the c section scar to prove it. I would say set your goal for 2 months but see how you feel. Don't push yourself to go back before you feel ready.

I'm ready now, barely two weeks postpartum and I feel like I could go in tonight. Unfortunately I have a csection incision that is still healing or else I'd be strapping on my stilettos. I'm in no way close to the shape I want to be in but I need that release the club offers.

Yeah, give time to that scar to heal. Many clubs have such an unsanitary environment that such a scar could easily become infected. Whenever your doctor has given you the ok to resume your daily activities, then go back to the club...and take your pump (of course, keep the pumped milk in the locker).
