Default returning to work after overs?

So I'm planning a boob job around May or early June. I have personally decided on silicone overs. I have enough breast tissue for them, and I don't want to lose chest strength or have implant and muscle distortion when I flex. Plus I do pole work and have a pretty active life.

I know recovery with overs is usually quicker. How much time do you think I should take before I return to work? I don't want to take too much time off but I want to be safe. I know there are a lot of threads on recovery but I see a lot of responses from girls with unders which I'm not getting.

    It me^

I got overs 2 weeks ago (for the same reasons as the op) and I felt awesome, full range of motion right away and well enough to do stationary bike in a couple days. I'm 2weeks post op today and I'm cleared to strip, but not pole work or anything involving my pec muscles for one more week. Where did you decide on the incision? I did areola, cause its less obvious than underneath and less traumatic than armpit.
So, yea, depending on how " hands on" your club is I'd say 2 weeks give or take. My club is topless so I had to wait for my scabs to peel to not scare the menz. It was really tempting to go back sooner, and I guess I old have with liquid bandage but now they're completely ready.
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

Thanks! I haven't decided on crease vs areola, I'm going to determine that when I consult with a PS (my main concern is nipple sensitivity and breastfeeding for when I do decide to have kids).

When I do return to work after the surgery I'm not doing any pole work or anything too rigorous... I will defintely take it easy my first month or so back to work.

My nipples are hypersensitive now, but my ps tells me that's suppose to normalize in a month or so.

I'm more worried about losing nipple sensitivity lol. My nipples are already pretty sensitive.

I don't know what the recovery period is for overs, but I can say that for me, I wouldn't have gone back to a club until two months post-op not because of recovery but because of how awful they looked. My boobs were SO hard afterward and sitting at my chin, I have pics from then and I had these weird square boobs for a while and then they slowly became a more normal shape. So I think it depends as well on that, how comfortable you are going back when you don't look 100% and how fast they look good. Because I would say two weeks post-op I was walking around fine, but there's no way I wanted to stand naked in a room with people looking at me.

I don't know if overs look better faster though, they were never even an option for me, as was areola incision which I really wanted, as I didn't have the tissue. From your posts it seems you're very petite as well, so I'm surprised?

I'm getting unders and I have to take off one month. Mostly because I have to wear the surgical bra for one month 23 hours a day. Even if they look bad/have frankenboob, I have to work since I can't really afford to take more time off work anyway.
Nina, see how long you have to wear the bra for (if you have to wear it), but I would take minimum 2 weeks. That's if you don't care how it looks lol.

I really wanted overs, but I trusted the surgeon I chose and let him talk me into unders. My boobs are just now (11 days post-op) starting to feel normal, but the incisions don't even look like scars yet. I don't really mind that they're still higher up than I'd like, but I can't imagine letting strangers see the lines on the undersides of my boobs. I know that you don't really want feedback from girls recovering from unders, but keep in mind that recovering enough to dance involves more than just the ability to use your upper-body muscles.

If I knew then what I know now I'd get overs. Instead I sat around getting fat.

^I hear you! If I had a time machine, I wouldn't have let my doctor talk me into unders argh.

OP, I've known some girls with overs who have come back after a week and some who have taken 3-6+ weeks. Ask your surgeon what they recommend, and listen to your body.

Good luck with your BA and recovery .

Don't get me wrong, after 4 years I love what I have and my weight loss journey has made me a better person physically and mentally.

I've had both overs and unders, and overs are far less traumatic. Absent a complication, returning to dancing after 4 weeks is a 'conservative' recovery period for overs.

Thanks for your response! The healing process for overs is usually quicker, since the muscle doesn't have to be cut. That's also why they typically "drop" faster since they're not constricted by the muscles.

I uploaded a few pics of my boobs on a breast aug site where random surgeons answer your questions and along with the pics I asked if I have enough tissue (that was my main concern 'cause I really want overs lol), so far 10 doctors have answered and to my happiness they've all said it looks like I have enough. I'll have to narrow down my dr choices and get consults to know for sure of course.

Lol as long as they look good I will go back a week or two after my surgeon clears me (just for good caution). So I'm thinking I'll go back after about 4 weeks but not do pole work for another month or so.

Thanks Melonie, I was awaiting your response to this thread!

Now I am debating about cc's. I know most surgeons will not want to go too large with overs on a petite frame but I want to be at least a good DD or so and don't want to go too small.

^^^ you might be a good candidate for 'Spectrum' implants. These can be put in partially filled, and then increased in size via progressive injection of additional saline solution through an attached filler valve ( which will be located just under the skin under the breast or in your armpit ). Then once you're happy with the size, your doctor can 'snap off' the filler valve and your implants will be permanently sealed. In theory, 'Spectrum' implants can allow you to start out with say 400cc at the time of surgery ( to avoid over-stressing limited skin ), but then continue to 'grow' by another 100cc every month or two ( allowing the skin to gradually stretch ) until you eventually reach the size you want.

    http://www.xvideos.com/video7129820/...ander_overfill

^^^ However, there is a risk factor involved with 'Spectrum' implants ... so-called 'booby greed'. Once the girl discovers how big 400cc actually is ( or isn't ) after initial surgery, it's a virtual given that she'll want them filled up to 600cc. But once she's at 600cc ( and sees the reactions she gets, sees the increased earnings etc. ) it's pretty likely she'll then want them filled to 800cc. Then after seeing the reaction she gets, and the increased earnings resulting from 800cc, she'll then want them filled to 1000cc !!! For the girls who come down with a serious case of 'booby greed', it's a good thing that 'Spectrum' implants are designed to be 'stretched' well beyond their normal cc rating ...

When I first started shooting for the 'big leagues', I had a set of these implants for a while. I was back on stage 4 weeks after my initial surgery. I would then take one day off after subsequent 'fill-ups' ... because they do start to ache a bit right after the additional stretching. Even though I didn't plan it, I wound up attracting a group of customers who were ( very generously ) infatuated with the fact that my boobs were getting bigger.

However, I can also tell you from a personal standpoint that sitting / lying in the doctor's office, actually seeing your boobs grow and feeling your boobs get bigger and heavier in a matter of a few minutes, is a truly 'unique' experience !!!
