    Default preferred species of whales

Ok ladies, here is a question for you. What species of whale do you prefer? Allow me to explain. Let's say a guy is coming into the club and planning on spending $500 on dances/VIP. (And as an aside -- I know that may not qualify as a whale. Certainly not a blue whale or humpback whale or anything like that. Maybe a pilot whale, or a good sized dolphin. But that is not really the point here.) What would you prefer -- for the guy to be an "all my money goes to one girl" person? Or a "spread the wealth" person, getting 3-4 dances from 6-8 girls? Personally -- I am more of a spread the wealth guy -- I like strip clubs because you can spend time with a half-dozen different hot girls in the same night, which is something that couldn't possibly happen for me on the outside. (Landing one hot girl on the outside would be a long shot at best, and the chances of finding two or more are a little bit worse than my chances of getting hit in the butt by a bolt of lightning.) When I spend all my time with one girl it starts to feel almost like a relationship and that kind of defeats the purpose for me. Not that there is anything wrong with relationships -- that is just not what I am looking for in the club. So what do you think? Oh and this is my first post, so one practical question for the road -- how do you hit the enter key? (I press the enter key on my keyboard but the line does go down. I see all these emoticons and font control buttons and stuff like that, but no line return?)

I prefer whatever gets me the most money for the least amount of work.

And to make a new line, you just press enter on your keyboard.

This generic question seems pretty weird to me. Why would any dancer would care about "what type of customer" you are unless she's the one getting paid? I suspect that most any dancer will answer the same way - she wants as much of it as possible. Ideally she'd probably prefer you spend it all on her. If she wouldn't get the whole thing anyway, then she'd prefer that you include her in the mix. If she's not getting anything either way, then she probably doesn't care how you spend it.

In any event, I'm not sure that $500 makes any guy a whale by any stretch, but IME it makes you a potentially valuable customer in a lot of clubs. However, IMHO and IME, the more you spread it around, the less valuable you will be to any particular dancer. It's a trade-off and each guy must decide for himself where the right balance is. I tend to focus my spending on fewer ladies as I enjoy some of the benefits of being a bigger income contributor, but I do sometimes have to fight the proprietary ownership label that some girls try to slap on me. It is what it is.

Further to Rick's point, as a spread the wealth type of customer, if a steadier customer comes in, they are getting first attention from that dancer because i am less valuable to that particular dancer. My trade off there is that I am not tied down to any particular dancer when I walk into the club. On the other hand, as a not particularly "whaley" customer, spreading the wealth allows me several dancer options when my first choice is occupied.

All this aside, common sense dictates that the dancers prefer the customers that will provide them the most money for the least amount of time and hassle.

Hey you stalker! How did you get my picture? And that isn't even my good side. But nice package, eh? I don't always buy lap dances, but when I do, I like to spread the wealth.

In the spirit of continuous improvement -- I have figured out that enter key thingy. So hooray for me.

I guess that this question hasn't captivated the imagination of the readership as I hoped that it would. Yes, obviously every dancer is going to want the customer that pays her the most for the least amount of work. Just like everyone wants to buy a lottery ticket so long as it is the winning one, eat the most amazing dessert so long as it has no calories, etc.

But here, as in life, we have to make a choice between two things with good and bad elements to them. Think about it this way: let's say there are 10 dancers at a club. Over the course of the night, 10 guys will walk in and each one is going to spend $500. So on average, every girl is making $500 that night. Yippee. (At least where I am from, that average would be very respectable.) But you have to pick -- are they all "one girl for me" guys? Or all wealth spreaders?

If they are wealth spreaders, then your chances of a crazy good night are lower -- the wealth gets spread and you are probably going home with $500 -- not much more or less. If they are "one girl for me" guys, then if you can land a few of them you are doing $1500-$2000, which is awesome. But some girls will strike out and go home busted.

So the one you pick says a lot about you. Are you risk averse? How do you think you compare with other girls? Do you have an aversion to regulars and the drama they bring? Or can you put up with the crap and think you can pull down a big enough share that it is better to have the "one girl for me" guys in there. What does this say about how you would you run a business in the vanilla world? Think of the implications! Heavy, man. Heavy. The answer to this question bares your soul, and I can hardly think of a better place to do that than on an internet bulletin board. So do tell.

I dunno -- maybe this one is going nowhere. (I think it is interesting, tho.) I will try another one. My new goal is to get BOTH MyButter AND whirlerz to thank me for a useful post. That ain't easy, but I am a determined fellow.

Hope everyone's Friday night is going well -- whether on the giving or receiving end.

Maybe because these silly hypothetical situations, which only exist in your imagination, are so absurd that it is pointless to chew on them. Now, unlike you, I don't want to speculate, but I think I know where you're trying to go with this. If I'm right and you have a real life point to make, just spit it out already.

Sure, spend all your money on one girl. You realize spending all your money on one girl means she's spending more time actually earning it, right? Guess it depends on how much she enjoys your company. I'd rather spend an hour with someone reasonably pleasant than ten minute intervals with six assholes for the same amount of money. Spending all your money on a girl makes it feel like a relationship on your end? OK. If she's not ok with that, she'll avoid you, talk some sense into you, or continue to take your money. Regulars who turn into a problem are replaceable, dancers and customers have a shelf life to each others, it's a part of life.

What is the location, day, profile of customers/dancers?

My favorite is the kind of customer is one who just sends me money via paypal every month like an alimony check in exchange for my continued silence about his hobby. (j/k)

You should probably just figure this out for yourself with first hand research. Go to the club for several weeks with a $500 budget each time but change up who you spend it on. See what happens and draw your own conclusions. If you really wanna be thorough try this experiment at 2 or more clubs!

I'm confused about the "spending too much time with one girl makes it feel like a relationship" thing too-unless you are in an area with appallingly low prices, $500 is only going to get you an hour VIP and a nice tip for her if you have anything left. Maybe doing half hour rooms with a couple different girls would suit your needs?

thank you for the responses. and ya amber you are right that the answer is definitely probably different depending on the setting. The two ends of the spectrum for me are the vibe in a day shift at a club in the midwest -- so money is a little lower, customers are more regular-oriented, maybe a little older -- versus what you would get on night shift in a high turnover place in manhattan (at a place like flashdancers, for example, you are looking at lots of business guys going in and out; lots of money and lap dances; girls have their hustle down very tight and are total pros).

From a dancers perspective -- i didn't really know what to expect. I hadn't thought about it the way SJ did, and so I am glad to have asked the question. What made me think about it was a recent visit where i was talking to a girl and she asked me if i had picked out my favorite dancer yet. i told her i wasn't going to pick a favorite; i liked a bunch and probably would just end up getting a couple dances from a variety. i think that she thought it was a goofy answer, but it was honest. i like sampling (i am the guy that prefers a portion of 10 good appetizers rather than one humongous steak, even if the steak is excellent). and, truth be told, i don't particularly enjoy saying no to girls, especially if they seem like they are having a bad shift. ya ya ya, i know that i am entitled to, and maybe it comes off as weak to say yes to everyone. but the truth of the matter is that i say no, and argue, and negotiate with people all day long in my regular job. i am, in essence, a professional jerk. i am good at this job, but i don't always enjoy it, and don't really want to re-live it when i finally get out of the office and go to the club. And so I don't blow all my money on one girl, but spread around the love.

To each their own. It was beautiful today -- sun finally out (it is mostly gray in the winter where i am -- upper midwest), temperature got to 45 degrees, everyone outside running and walking dog, etc. Good day to be alive, man. Hope people had a good weekend (and profitable, if that is your thing).

Oh -- and TdF -- PM me your account details and i will wire an alimony payment your way. Actually let's just characterize it as child support and you won't even have to pay taxes on it.

For what it's worth, from the customer side, it seems like a guy who spreads the wealth is more attractive in a club. I've been sort of popular at a couple different clubs around me because I used to go in and spend ok money on a lot of different girls. Part of it is that I have a hard time saying no, too. It seemed too obvious to mention, but I'm bored and this thread is still going, so the hell with it, but if you're going to spend all your money on one girl, that girl will like you and none of the rest will, and if you dance with two or three girls a night and tip ok and show up enough to look familiar, you get a lot more attention from girls. I have been both types, and get a lot more girls stopping by as the spread it around guy.

One who won't wear swatpants or tries to act "gansta" in the club....and that would spend lots of money on me while only requesting very little in return.

Ps- five hun. Amongst five girls doesn't really constitute a whale, sorry. I know you mean well, but most average customers will give a hundred to a girl, without standing out. If you want to be seen as a whale, either spend it all on one girl or bring two to three times as much, best wishes. Also, I hope dances are at least twenty a pop where you are. Ten dollar dances for a gift of a hundred are hard work and won't win too may girls over xoxo

Thanks SJ. I am not sure a whale really is who I am. I can live with being a walrus, or something like that. Maybe a leopard seal -- those things are bad ass. So a respectable spender -- not the big money guy in the club, but not the grumpy old dude who sits at the bar for four hours and spends $25 either. Everyone knows your name and is glad that you are there. Like Norm in Cheers. Though I am not sure many people here will get that reference.

This is all you should shoot for. Don't worry about what kind of whale is better. Just be the best leopard seal you can be.

Also, Cheers is one of the best sit-coms ever been on TV. If you somehow don't know the show, which seems impossible, watch the first season on netflix, and then reflect on how much better your life just got and then lament that so much of it passed before you got to see magic.

    Slight overstatement.
