I know there was one in December but I have since fell off the wagon and need help getting back to clean eating. Anybody up for the challenge? This includes sugar laced drinks.

I'm too weak for this but I can agree zero sugar works wonders for rapid weight loss
This is an incredibly hard challenge but I'm down to join you!
Does this include sugar substitute like Splenda?

I've had tremendous struggles with staying off sugar and the many related problems exposure to it causes- most notably candida. The insidiousness of it and the severe damage it causes me led me to thoroughly research the topic for viable solutions to combat it. One of the things that makes it so hard to beat is that it is able to actually "hijack" your brain and have considerable impact on your thoughts, feelings and emotions- which in part then impact your actions.
Many people (including mainstream doctors) aren't even aware of candida and it has a HUGE impact on people's health and is a big part of why it can be so incredibly difficult to give up sugar. Here is a pretty decent explanation of it and good resource for info: http://www.holistichelp.net/candida.html
There is a probiotic called Fivelac http://www.ghthealth.com/products/fivelac.aspx , which I have found to be very helpful in removing the negative sugar/candida symptoms which in turn makes it a lot easier to rid yourself of compulsive sugar consumption.
Along those lines I also took part in developing a program and product that is specifically designed to make getting off sugar as easy and effective as possible. If anyone would like more information about it feel free to message me. Best of luck to everyone taking up the challenge of getting off the sugar- no matter how difficult it is the end result is worth it.
That was really interesting, Jimboe. I had no idea!

Yes, when I first found out about it I was pretty shocked. It's long but here is a really well made and informative video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQr5PMSqkSk

I'm failing at this challenge something miserable! Well for the past few days anyway. I've been drinking fruit punch like somebody's trying to take it away from me, smh.
Isn't there something like sugar addiction. I don't know if it's physical or just psychological ( I know - "just " ? ). I've heard of people who had to be weaned off sugar like it was a drug. Maybe instead of just jumping without a parachute and going through sugar withdrawl it might be better to start by eliminating candy and stop sweetening your tea and or coffee ; then cookies , cake , ice cream etc. ; then soda and other sweetened drinks ; then processed foods ( read some labels and see how much gets added to so many food products - it's a scandal ! ) Then maybe knock out white flour and limit fruit intake and before you know it you have eliminated 75 to 80 % of your sugar consumption. Just a thought for whatever it might be worth. I did something similar 3 years ago and lost 25 lbs.in less than 3 months.
