    Default My first shift!! NYC

Saturday night was my first shift ever dancing..I was soo intimidated, but I did a lot better than I thought I would!! We have a very high tip out so when you take that into account I made slightly over $400 ($500 and some in total)!! I know it can only go up from there once I perfect a hustle. It's nowhere near tight...I use some of the techniques I learned on cam, but they're not transferring too well. I need to work on a persona..I was just kind of myself, but sexier. It worked for the custies I got that wanted GFE.

It's not even getting naked for me that's hard, it's talking to people. And there were so many girls who were like 10s...big chests, beautiful soft features (I'm mediterranean and have stronger features) I was like how am I going to make money here?? I pretty much just went up to everyone. I got a lot of people seriously not interested and "maybe later/I just want to drink this beer/I just got here/I'm waiting for my friend" just to see them going to do a lap dance with another girl.... what I found has worked for me sometimes there is by being like "I guess you're not as interested as you say because you wouldn't risk me being gone by the time you're done if you REALLY wanted me! You only have this moment" kind of entitled stuff.

We have a tip walk, which I like because it's some guaranteed money, I like being in front of people on stage..and it gives you a chance to see who is interested. It was hard because most of the time the good custies were all taken by girls already.

I ended up getting a bunch of lap dances, but selling one half hour VIP and one hour one. The hour long guy was really into me and swears he's going to come back next weekend to see me. I know people say that lol but it seemed true. I really liked him! I overheard a girl in the DR saying this was an especially hustle-oriented night...so I'm definitely selecting customers right. I'm intuitive and I'm going to work that hehe.

congrats to you too! It already feels like big money so it definitely gives me the drive to keep going! Layla, did you get hired at a club in the city?

I really took to heart what some ladies over on hustle hut suggested and to not sit around looking bored and not talking to anyone! Talk to everybody

Talk to everybody unless you can reallyyyy tell it would be a waste of time. I did see people like that..you'll be able to sense it. Plus all the other girls treat them like they're invisible

No, I'm not from New York.

I got hired at a place in Ontario, just outside of Woodstock. It seems like a decent place to start and learn a thing or two.

Oi I can't believe you did one hour VIP and one half hour and you only made $400...that doesn't seem right.
Good job on approaching everyone! That is the right attitude to have! Never stop doing that. As a veteran, I'm struggling with being totally jaded and judgmental of certain customers, but I'm trying to get back to that point where I was able to approach everyone. Some people might say it's better to size up the customers, but I've always made the most money when I don't do that.

Switch clubs. The VIP Payouts at that club are not worth it.

Hmmm... If she didn't get a tip in her vips, considering the high house fees and tip outs, I can see how money can fizzle. I think I may know what club that is too. Lol.

I didn't even see the hour and a half vip mentioned at first.

Yeah they were in two different sets..so like we get $120 for a half hour (they only charge the custies $180, which is low) I did one half hour, then an hour in two sets. It isn't very much, it's true, especially compared to other clubs in the area..hmm...that's getting me thinking. especially with the high tip outs! I wanted to get my feet wet first at a less competitive club, but tbh that club was pretty competitive I should just dive right into the midtown places. I've talked to girls that started out in those clubs and it was fine. Thanks for the advice!!

I think your at g2000. It's true, vip is cheap, dancer keeps $120. Very easy to sell an hr. Tip out is decent. Make sure you tip the DJ well. If Andy is still djing over tip him and he will can help you get customers and parties at the club. I miss G2000.

So I decided that, after speaking with you guys and doing research, I could be making much more in my VIP rooms than the previous club..and I wanted to be off a direct transportation route so I auditioned at Vivid tonight and was hired! They said they have enough girls for weekday night shift (what I wanted, sigh) but they could do weekend nights and weekday days. I'm suspicious about day shifts...for one because I don't hear of many people going to a strip club during the day? And for another because this is in midtown and I suspect the day crowd will be tourists on a budget? IDK though. I need to make $$ for a new phone, for one, since mine literally just broke...

@Diamond this was in Queens! One of the 5 boros, but not Manhattan.

The day shift at my work varies from day to day but it can be busy. A lot of girls have regulars who come in during the day but there's also lots of guys who come on their lunch break or after work. It's a blue collared town, so a lot of shift workers who can't come at night time. One good thing about the day shift is that most of guys are there to get dances and you don't get the "I'm just here for a beer" crowd.

Maybe it's completely different in New York but perhaps give it a shot and see what it's like?

I don't want to/can't do day shift so I think I'm going to go to night shift only places/back to the other club. Management was a loooot more personable there

I wonder if you are at G2000, it sounds like it. I work there too even though I haven't been going much, I work the Swing Shift I start at like 4 and leave at 11pm. I like it there except for the mandatory 4 shifts. My other issue is I feel like the guys are so aggressive there, they want so much for a $20 dance, grabbing and trying to lick and suck on my boobs, it happens so much and the bouncers don't do anything. It's making it hard for me to want to go to work. I wonder if the same happens to you but I know you don't want to say where you are working unfortunately.

    Gallaghers,bah.

What I found truly annoying is that they dare to enforce strict, kinda Manhattan-like rules, yet don't really offer that high earning's potential, imho. C'mon, guys, if you want us to wear gowns, work 4 days per week, avoid carrying phone on the floor, get fined for skipping shift, pay 70-90$/per night+tip-outs,then,please, be so kind, bring in better clientele to make us put up with it.

A lot of cheap custies, who try to grope you all over, when you hustle them/want you to sit with them foreeeeever to take you to half an hour VIP later, where your payout is just meh/ask hosts to send you to,let's say, room number 3(it's just some CR's don't have cameras and regs know that),etc etc.
There is money to make there, I don't deny, but wasn't worth it personally for me.

Sorry for bumping but couldn't help bitching, lol.

^^ I second and third this. That's why I didn't stay. The Manhattan like house fees, yet they don't offer promos or incentives like arriving early to avoid them. Super strict with scheduling.. Those were my main issues. There are places in Manhattan with more flexibility and much higher earning potential. Its not a bad club and there is money there but it's not a good fit for me.
