Duh My Club Has Banned Baby Wipes

So two days ago I come back to work from my self imposed three month hiatus and I see signs all over the dressing room stating that baby wipes are no longer allowed. Apparently corporate had to spend over 40 grand to replace and repair all the bathroom plumbing. Dancers were flushing wipes, tampons and strangest of all , their underwear ! I'm like, what in the actual fuck is that about?! Who the hell runs around flushing their things down the toilet? And most importantly , why the hell are you constantly having to get rid of your underwear . Sketchy much? I mean seriously . I just don't get it. Anyways, the buildup of wipes and things was so insane that the ceiling below the bathroom actually caved in. Yes, I know how crazy this all sounds. If the manager, who I happen to be really cool with, hadn't shown me the pictures I wouldn't have believed it myself. Fucking disgusting. No way in hell I'm gonna stop bringing baby wipes to work thou and I told management as much. Luckily, I'm not a crazed moron so I know how to walk over to trash can and dispose of them properly. You know, like a normal human person. The fuck. Still shaking my head about the whole ridiculous situation and the fact that corporate thinks the solution is to have a bunch of sweaty, probably smelly dancers running around. Btw, the club I work at is considered a higher end club, spacious and beautiful . Behind the scenes is a whole other story apparently...

I'm always surprised how disgusting women can be! Seriously, the men's restroom is soooooo much cleaner than the women's. I could not give up the baby wipes, sorry. Are they going to ban tampons and underwear as well?!

They might as well ban underwear and tampons too, lol.

Just put up a sign that says "do not flush baby wipes" and buy a trashcan for every stall. Problem solved, unless the people using them are too dumb to read.

Lmfaooo. Right?!! It blows my mind. Way to ruin things for the rest of us. Corporate took it a bit too far with the baby wipes ban. I mean, c'mon.

^^^ the corporate club higher-ups will think their $40,000 repair expense was 'chump change' if wipe-less dancers start transmitting any number of different customer 'diseases' to other customers !!! And from a dancer's standpoint, it's bad enough having to deal with one customer's germs at a time let alone letting germs from a dozen different customers 'cross-breed' on their skin all night !!!

Personally speaking, I'd stop at WalMart, pick up a couple of pedal operated garbage cans and a roll of garbage bag liners myself, take them to the club, and follow NightGoddess' suggestion !!! It's far cheaper than a night's lost income due to getting sick from prolonged customer germ exposure !!! And any 'dancers' who aren't willing to use the garbage cans to properly dispose of baby wipes, tampons, and panties ( I won't even ask !!! ) deserve some 'regulation' by fellow dancers !!!

why the hell are you constantly having to get rid of your underwear . Sketchy much?
NOTHING would surprise me in this regard !!! However, this is supposedly an 'upscale' corporate club ... meaning that there aren't supposed to be dirty dancers flushing panties which have accumulated so many layers of dried-on 'discharge' at the end of the shift that they resemble rings on a tree stump !!!

So how have you and the other dancers handled it? Does everyone still bring wipes but just hide them ? I'm tempted to do what Melonie suggests but it's not like there weren't plenty of trash cans available before and I just don't think the nasties engaging in this behavior give two fucks about buying disposable wipes. Like she said, clearly regulation by other dancers is the only possible deterrent.

that's about the stupidest thing i've read all day! it was probably from the panties and tampons just as much or more than the wipes, what are they gonna do ban those too? do they want their club to be known for dancers with sweaty smelly crotches? there's NO way i could ever work without baby wipes..maybe bring in flushable ones and show them the packaging.

Count the # of crusty "rings" of filth to measure the approx. age of the panties since their last wash.

^^^ that's 'over the top' in my book. Searching bags on the basis of illegal drugs, maybe. Searching bags on the basis of a 100% legal personal hygiene product ? Nevertheless I understand the realities ... clubowners who offer high earnings potential to dancers can get away with a lot of s#!t which is technically illegal.

That example wasn't a 'figment of my imagination' ( unfortunately ) !!! In one club I worked at long ago, the dancers were starting to go crazy because the dressing room was gradually starting to smell like a bakery / cheese factory. We eventually found a very 'used' dancer G-string fermenting in a closet.

I almost died laughing after reading this. Their proposed solution sucks though! If they're gonna ban them, maybe the house mom could provide "management approved" wipes for all?

My theory is girls were wrapping drug paraphanelia in wipes and flushing it as to not be seen using at work. & Let's face it some people never think about why tampons should not be flushed. I hate people sometimes. A few months ago my boss at my day job paid $100 to a plumber to dislodge a tampon from the most used toilet in the ladies bathroom...aka typical things happen in typical places.

///This is why some plumbers make more money than some white collar professionals

I guess the baby wipe things doesn't apply anymore because my gf had them in her bag last night when they searched. I don't use baby wipes never have I wash my hands around 50 times a night though.

I don't know if it'd help, but (for hands) I use a spray sanitizer..Whole Foods & Vitamin Shoppe has it. I was also going to suggest a water bottle spray, & tissues.

Those girls are lacking some serious common sense. They can ban the wipes all they want, but those idiots will still clog the toilets with tampons and underwear.

It would seem like common sense (to most of us) not to flush baby wipes.

But what about used needles? How would anyone think that is okay?

Apparently, someone at my previous club did.

A friend still working at that club called and told me after I began working at another place. She starts the conversation by saying "We don't have a toilet anymore in the women's restroom". She went on to say that the toilet was clogged for ONE MONTH and the owner ignored the complaints from the girls. I won't give the details, but it sounded beyond disgusting.

When he finally attempted to fix it, the whole toilet had to be removed and a syringe was found to be the cause. The crazy owner got so mad that he refused to replace it. The dancers had use the customer restroom, which was even filthier than the women's.

Eventually he installed another one, but it became clogged within a few days.

It just takes one clueless, lazy person to ruin it for everyone else.

At my old club, there was a particular toilet that was always broken. Always. The owners would get it fixed, but it broke again within days. It was the handicapped stall and quite often used by small groups of dancers who were using drugs. Like... smoking herion or meth in the club. What sucked was that there wasn't a dedicated dancer bathroom for most of us and there were only two stalls for dancer and customer use. On a weekend night, the line could get ridiculous.
