I have a strong suspicion my club will get raided soon. Out of curiosity, will they go after customers as well or just the girls?

Oh and what week day would it likely be? I understand this question is more for speculation

Just the girls and staff from my experience.

LE almost NEVER busts customers. Too much risk that a busted customer will turn out to be the mayor's brother-in-law, a big local political contributor, a powerful local businessman etc.
If LE wants to maximize the 'pain in the a$$' factor, they'll make the bust on a Saturday night. This provides maximum difficulty for the club / busted dancers to come up with significant amounts of 'cash' bail money ( think banks closed until Monday morning ... while bail amount exceeds daily ATM withdrawl limit ). A Saturday night bust can also potentially provide an 'excuse' for bail hearings to be postponed until Monday morning as well ... meaning that the busted dancers may face enough time in custody to be forced to spend at least one night in the County Lockup. Or a Saturday night bust can potentially cause bail hearings to be conducted by a judge who is normally involved with other court duties ... and who may 'come down hard' on busted dancers in unspoken retribution for his being 'called in' to work on a Sunday morning.
In regard to potential bust preparedness, dancers should ask themselves the following question. If LE seizes the 'cash' they have in their possession at the time they are busted ( based on 'ill gotten gains' forfeiture allegations ), how able is the busted dancer / dancer's attorney / dancer's friends to come up with $500-$1000 in cash ( with banks closed ) once a bail hearing has been held and bail is set ? Keep in mind that the busted dancer herself will be held in custody until the bail is paid ... meaning that she can't get to a bank / ATM herself ... and also keep in mind that many jurisdictions will NOT accept / process a dancer's credit card.
Generally speaking, very few dancers can come up with $500-$1000 in cash over a weekend if LE 'seizes' the money they have in their purse at the time they are busted. So the general scenario is that the club's attorney will be called in. The club's attorney will work out a plea bargain offer with the local DA. And the club's attorney will offer to post bail for the busted dancers at the clubowner's expense. However, a condition of accepting the plea bargain deal is the dancer agreeing to enter a de-facto guilty plea to a sexually related misdemeanor ( prostitution, lewd conduct ) in exchange for the club's attorney posting her bail and arranging zero jail time ( typically probation only ). From the busted dancers' standpoint, this means no bail money out of their own pocket, no jail time, and being able to return to work at the club the very next night. But it does mean effectively pleading guilty to a sexually related misdemeanor ... with associated negative future consequences in regard to future employer background checks, potential disclosure laws i.e. having to tell neighbors you are a 'sex' criminal, etc.
Another condition of such club attorney originated plea bargain arrangements ... which the busted dancers will probably not be informed of ... is that, in exchange for the dancers' de-facto guilty pleas, the DA will agree to drop charges against the clubowner !!!

The customers get busted if they are pimps, but otherwise, it is usually just dancers and staff. Any clubs I've been at have been raided in the morning, or as early in the day as possible. Cops don't like working evenings and weekends, apparently.

Oh man.... I definitely don't. Want to be there when it happens!

I would speculate that a club bust early on a weekday is actually indicating that the DA etc. don't have any 'serious' motivation to bust the club ( drugs, prostitution, gangs etc. ), but are under pressure to do so to placate complaining neighborhood residents. The early on a weekday club bust avoids the DA having to pay cops overtime, results in the fewest number of prosecutable charges against dancers ( thus minimum time in court ), probably avoids the clubowner being busted ( in favor of a day shift manager ) etc. In other words, the DA can say he busted the club to placate the complaining neighbors, but that's about the only lasting result of such a club bust.Any clubs I've been at have been raided in the morning, or as early in the day as possible. Cops don't like working evenings and weekends, apparently.

Why do clubs in the US get raided so often/at all?

^^^ statistically speaking, US strip clubs probably don't actually get busted very often. What US strip club busts DO get is a whole lot of negative media publicity when they are busted.
In terms of pure speculation, there are logically two lines of reasoning regarding the motivation for club busts. The first is proximity to actual crimes ... club customers beat up or shot on a club's property, clubs being used as a de-facto 'office' by pimps and/or drug dealers etc. Undoubtedly such major illegal activities involve extremely few clubs in the 'grand scheme of things', and provide strong motivation for such clubs to be busted for 'legitimate' LE reasons.
The second is 'public relations' value. During local election season in particular, in cases where clubs are located in suburban neighborhoods with 'bible thumping' neighbors etc., pressure is heightened for the local gov't / DA to garner local headlines which will amount to 'free' favorable (re)election campaign publicity in the eyes of local voters. Busting strip clubs is an easy source of such local headlines.
Also, as a follow-on to a topic addressed in other threads, 'upscale' clubs which cater to 'rich' customers are almost never busted.

I consider myself lucky regarding a raid. A club I was working got raided one night I was working, but I "conveniently" left before the raid because my hubs (who at the time was being processed out of the navy due to health issues) landed in the hospital once more (the Humira Pin gave him MRSA).
At the hospital, one of my stripper friends called me about the raid and gave the 411 of the happening. Nothing happened to her, but four other dancers, and about five customers got arrested on drug and indecent exposure charges.
