    Default Organisational help

Hello, I'm just trying to help out a friend here. He's been promoted and has lots to do, only he's not so great at keeping track of all the stuff he needs to do. Notes all over the place written on whatever was to hand, etc. Does anyone have any ideas or know any systems/products out there designed to help busy managers? He'd like a PA, basically, but can't have one, so next best thing.

I don't know if anything exists... I just figured someone has usually already solved the problem. I'm assuming phone calendar/app is best thing nowadays, if a notebook and diary aren't doing the job.

He can try on craig's to find someone, maybe to work @ a lower cost since the job market's tight? There's all kinds of organzational things, Container Store has that stuff, prob. Office Max/Office Depot too.
I'm sure they some online/smart phone things, Idk much about those
It's easier to have an outside person do organizing, because ppl that can't do their own are too attached to their stuff & the way they are (disorganised).

Talking virtual or actual items? I use Excel to keep records and folders to store things.

Kelly, I'm guessing virtual is best.

jimboe, thanks, not too relevant to his work but def something I'll look at to get my ass in gear to reach a few goals.

I've had a proper look today, apps like Evernote look great. Had a brain fart when I started thread and couldn't think to look up organiser apps. :S

I find online calendars very helpful. I use Google Calendar for personal use and Outlook calendar at work. I also use Outlook notes at work for jotting down small things that I want to remember.

Daily or weekly to do lists, I-phone to schedule beyond 24 hours.
I'm not sure if he tracks sales leads or just projects? I track both for my day job and having a folder with all the leads / projects is essential.
He can make a plan for each project and then set up reminders in his phone.

It may be easier for him to free up time by hiring domestic help ( cleaning, grocery shopping, post office ect.) as this might be the easiest way for him to free up time immediately. It's what I do on busy weeks.
