It's probably because all I have to work with is an iPad but it's hard as hell to get shots! I'm thinking of getting a photog off of modelmayhem and exchanging time for prints/DVDs. Please help!

If your on MM anyway, why not? Depends what kind of pictures though. Are you talking full sets to sell or just some nice ones to post? You can get some decent pics and make money on the GWCs.

I was thinking just a few nice ones to post. What's GWC?

Guy with cam. Not sure about that though as you need to protect yourself from unscrupulous predators. I would only work with togs who have up to date and checkable references from other girls, have a pro website and creditials. Yes you'll pay more but you will be safer. Only recently MM was in the courts for allowing 2 known rapists to continue using the site and luring a girl who they then raped! NOT worth your safety to work with unknown gwc's!

That is horrible, though sadly I really shouldn't be surprised.Originally Posted by sexysusie

Think of it as MM catfish but worst way worst.
You want to make sure you have a clear understanding of who you plan to shoot with your content.
Also these days in writing what you and your future photographer expectations are.
There are way too many tom, dicks and harry's out there with a camera and the last thing you need is them taking control and you kicking yourself before you didn't Dot those Is. and cross those Ts

I really like MM and used to use it almost exclusively to book shoots when I was a full-time shoot model. I hardly use it anymore though since I really don't have the time to constantly be shooting.
If you decide to go that route I do have a few tidbits of advice.
Always check the photographer's references. Find out who he has worked with RECENTLY and email them to ask their opinion on how the shoot went. Ask about whether they felt safe, not just if he made advances. Just because he didn't do anything to a certain girl, doesn't mean that she didn't feel uncomfortable with him - that's an immediate red flag and you should not proceed with this guy. Even if you ask 10 models who loved him, and one girl felt uneasy or unsafe - better safe than sorry. You don't know whether or not someone like that is just waiting to for the perfect moment to strike.
Tell someone you trust WHERE and WHEN you will be on your shoot, and how long. Let them know the photographer's name, picture (if he has one you can provide), the address of the shoot, what time the shoot is, and how long you will be. Ask them to call you at a certain time if you wish, to check on you.
This is a personal one for me (some models scoff at my insistence on this), but I strongly advise this to EVERY girl when starting modeling. BRING SOMEONE WITH YOU. I have been modeling for a very long time and I have brought an assistant with me to every single shoot. Bring someone you are comfortable with and someone who will not hesitate to alert you if something is amiss. Most photographers will be uneasy about bringing a boyfriend or spouse, which I understand. But if they ever tell you that you are not allowed to bring a friend, RUN THE FUCK AWAY. I usually have my assistants help by moving lights, bringing water, assisting with changes, etc. If a photographer has a problem with that, it immediately makes me wonder what's so important about being alone with me. I always inform the photographer that I will be bringing someone, if he says no - then bye.
I have never once had a photographer who was worth his salt say no to any of these precautions. Your sense of mind and comfort should be a priority, unless there are some ulterior motives.
Good luck, and most of all - please be safe.

Get a selfie stick for your phone. I just ordered one on Amazon. I want it to put more pics on my social media pages. I have a hard time getting my big tits and ass in the same frame. Its one or the other. I also have a dslr camera with a remote. That cost though. A selfie stick is under $30.

I've used MM in the past for non-adult shoots. I had some pretty awesome photographers and some lame ones. I was paid for a few shoots, but mostly did TFP and sometimes I'd have them agree in writing to only use certain photos with my permission, with the stipulation that the rest were mine to use. This would be good for you because you can give them what they need for their portfolio AND not have your photos with your cam name collide with non-camming photos. Always, always check their references. Googling them doesn't hurt either. One of the guys I Googled, for example, turned out to be a cop who had participated in the murder of my husband's friend, so I canceled. If they are hesitant to give any references, DO NOT work with them. I always brought my husband or a friend as an escort every time; I NEVER saw a photographer alone even if I'd worked with them several times. If they have a problem with you bringing an escort, DO NOT work with them. For your part, if you bring an escort, make sure they will refrain from interfering with the shoot because they hate jealous boyfriends and people who fuck around on set. MM can be cool, but be safe about it.

I agree with everything Eva says above. I got most of my modelling work prior to camming through MM so there ARE some great togs and other contacts to be made on there, but you MUST be very careful about who you deal with x

Looks like I'll be investing in a selfie stick. I went to sign up for MM and in the requirements it says no adult networking and I don't have any pics that aren't selfies (but that's easy to change).
I'm going to try onemodelplace before I give up.

You don't have to do adult networking. Just when you approach the photographer or they approach you, talk to them through regular email and tell them exactly what you're looking for. That way you don't have to discuss it on the site.
