Default Alaska clubs Summer '15 - when to go and where?

I have been aching to go to Alaska for two years now. I have been dancing for going on five years in Michigan and am more than ready for an adventure!! I am planning a trip for sometime during the summer (May-August). I plan on buying a one way ticket and staying for up to two weeks if the money is good. I have traveled to a handful of different states to work and am most excited about Alaska!

I want to go when the fishing/crab seasons are ending so I can catch the men right when they get off the boat and cash in! Does anyone know when the best times to go would be?
I am a CLEAN dancer, I do not do extras or drugs and want to work in a safe environment. (MJ is not a drug ). I prefer fully nude clubs because that is what I am used to but can go either way. Looking for the top clubs in the major city areas (Fairbanks or Anchorage) to make the most money or at least have the most fun!

If anyone has any experience dancing in Alaska or just any info in general PLEASE share and I will be forever appreciative!!!

    Thanks!

I'm also curious to know more about how Alaska is right now - I've found a lot of old info

The company my boyfriend works for is based in AK & is apparently making loads of money so despite the overall gloom & doom of the domestic oil field here...AK is stable.

Summer tourist money is still there. Since most of the clubs are in touristy areas and no where near the Slope...I'd say take a summer trip and see how you do.

I had the different fishing and crab seasons in different areas written down somewhere last year. I'm not at home right now, but if I forget, PM me tomorrow to remind me to look for them.

Alright, I found my "fishing seasons" information. Keep in mind that this was all written down as applying to trying to find work over the summer in Alaska on a fishing boat/in a processing plant/something actually related to fishing. I attempted to insert some maps, but the image uploader has been really weird for me lately. I'm using these to refresh my memory: http://www.alaskafishguides.com/fishinginfo_map.htm

    http://labor.alaska.gov/research/seafood/seafood.htm

Basically, it's broken into 5 regions:

Region 1: Southeast Alaska. The eastern "tail." Contains Sitka and Ketchikan. This starts the 2nd week of July and peaks around mid-August.

Region 2: Prince William Sound and the Kenai Peninsula. Kenai seems the "closest" to Anchorage, though I'm sure in actual distance, it's still pretty far. First salmon run starts in Mid-May.

Region 3: Kodiak Island. Away from everything and less work.

Region 4: Alaska Peninsula and Aleutian Islands. The western "tail." I think that's more of a crabbing region with more work in the Fall-Spring time.

Region 5: Bristol Bay. The most work and most highly compensated work. Starts the 3rd week of June, peaks July 4th, over by the end of July.

If I had to make a guess, I'd say you'd most likely catch Bristol Bay guys coming up to Anchorage to relax and spend money end of July/August. There's probably intermittent money to be made throughout all of summer starting in June, after the May salmon runs start and continuing til the end of August when they're over? But July/August would probably be prime time in Anchorage. I have no idea where else there are strip clubs in Alaska. The fishing areas tend to be really secluded areas. I tried talking to a guy on the phone last year and it took me 6 tries to even connect because there are no cell phone towers and he was telling me there are no stores and you have to pay out the ass if you need to have something shipped in.

tl;dr: the actual fishing areas are off the beaten path and they'll be so busy during the main season that you probably won't see the guys til the end when they're ready to relax and spend their hard-earned fishing season money. Best to time arriving at the end of the seasons.

Like I said, this is all info related to trying to be involved with the fishing process, so I don't know how much good it does anyone trying to strip trip up there lol But hopefully, knowing where and when the guys are coming from helps a little.

Call the clubs directly. I know a lot of girls who have worked in Alaska. July is the best month according to a friend.

You could go on the Poo Boat...
