Default Hitachi owners, is this a fake wand?

I recently purchased a Hitachi wand after searching for the original, I notice there are tons of fakes out there! The one I received was nearly 3 days late that took 2 weeks to ship. The box was bashed up and the sides were opened revealing both sides of the wand, but it was in tact. They sent it in a yellow, bag half its size, so it got a good beating I am sure..

When I turned it on high I was expecting a much stronger vibration and it felt more soft than firm. When I removed the top there is this styrofoam material that surrounds the base, top to sides and after pulling to see if it was a protection cover it seemed as if it was almost glued there. My question for you ladies is, do I have a fake Hitachi wand? This is my first time owning one and I don't feel that surprised as others have led on..but I feel like something is wrong with this thing. The top is more plush than hard..it might be removable but I don't want to risk a fuck up!

Another thing, the silver ring around the top wand feels like plastic and the Hitachi ad shows it as being sold with a metal rim.

Can you post a photo? It sounds like a knock off but it's hard to say. Also, it sounds like it's been tampered with, or maked questionably, in which case I don't know if it's a good idea to use an electronic that has been fiddled with. Where did you get this thing from?

I just checked mine. The silver ring appears to be metal. The head should not come off and is a dense material, not soft and spongy. There should be two settings, and the high speed should be really strong.

Found these images... Does the setting notch look round or squared like in this photo?

Hitachi stopped manufacturing this wand, it is now manufactured by a company called Vibratex. They bought the rights to it, so the 'authentic' Hitachi is actually a Vibratex.

I had gotten a fake hitachi and it died in a week. It had a weak vibration too.

If your hitachi is a fake (i really hope it is not but it sounds like it is fake). Next time, try to purchase an authentic magic wand from the stores I trust!

I bought mine here in December and it definitely seems to be the genuine article. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16896416001

Bonus points--only about $55 if you choose free shipping!

The toy store link in my siggy also sells the real deal. It's a white label toy store for sextoyfun.com so that and any of the affiliate stores will have the real magic wand. It shows Hitachi Magic Wand as out of stock, but that's just because Hitachi stopped making them as hyori mentioned above. Guess Hitachi didn't want their name to be associated with this industry *rolls eyes*. The new one is listed as "Magic Wand Original".

If you buy from the link in my signature, you can use the coupon code FORUBB to get 20% off your order.

Thank you, I purchased the item through Ebay (understanding that sometimes you can receive stuff not a described time from time. Most of my purchases have been good, except this one.) After doing some searching, I had a feeling something was up! From the way it was packaged, I don't see this thing lasting very long..since it may of received a good beating from being shipped and poorly packaged. Plugged it in again after painting in a new place and the vibration seems even more weak than this morning! I will take the hints of the rim not being metal as a fake, that and I still haven't managed to remove the styrofoam from the top. >_< Saw some Chinese characters in his username and in no way do I mean this racially with narrow minded assumptions but....Chinese sellers can sometimes order stocks from fake distributors (It happens and that is understandable..but the carelessness in the packing was terrible.) God knows those industries had to of cracked the whip when making better fake wands and cheaper costs. (This is coming from someone who use to order from Chinese sellers through Ebay and sometimes they can be pretty nice! Guess I will chalk it up to experience but, I will post a photo of pretty soon!

Thanks again, was told the same thing that the wand was produced by the same industry, but it was discontinued sadly. I could purchase it somewhere online for those who have it, but was told by a rep it would roughly sell on market over $57..otherwise its either the new 2015 release/Magic.

If in doubt return it. I look at buying fake sex toys like buying counterfeit makeup... I won't use either because I don't know what chemicals/materials are used.
Message the seller. If they don't respond or don't want to let you return open a case with ebay. If they say their policy is no returns tell them you think it is fake and eBay's policy is they have to accept returns.
If you're really serious about returning and the seller isn't helpful call ebay and tell them you think it's conterfeit, they will open a case for you and get you your money back. Be polite but firm (ie don't say "it's ok"...it's not.) and let both the seller and ebay know you are upset.
Ps stick with amazon. Less counterfeits and if you do get one you can talk to support and usually get yor money back instantly. With ebay you can get your money back but it's more difficult.

Okay thanks a lot! The only issue with Amazon was when purchasing the Violet wand I happened to purchase from some guy who took 3 weeks to ship an item. I received a full refund, but man was he an asshole! By then he claimed it was lost in the mail, but I agree that my chances of having a better purchase would be through Amazon plus I always received a faster refund I found instead of waiting nearly half a month when opening cases after 10 days of no response. Ebay can sometimes be slightly similar in a way to craigslist, just the feeling I get. Never know what you will receive and finding other people reviewing the product is much more of pain compared to Amazon, people are able to give actual product reviews! Thanks everyone for all of your time and help!! I saved the link provided where I could get 20% off my next purchase, so I will more than likely make the purchase through them and Newegg as a backup.

The way the sides are opened and the condition of the box was how it arrived after opening. I contacted the seller after you provided the advice and he has a bit of an issue with replying, but hopefully he comes to some agreement. Thanks so much for that help as I have so much going on this month with packing and moving I didn't know where to start!! The switch is apparently confirmed produced by Hitachi just a magic wand, thanks for the reference picture by the way!

He said in the least he could refund $20, lesson learned I was ripped off with a false description. It doesn't work as it should and the vibration is pretty much dying out..to say the least it wasn't at all what I thought it would be. I was expecting some torture with what others were describing as intense. I leaned more towards my old vibrator, which was why I purchased the damn thing to beginning with. (After removing the batteries out of my old toy to clean, dry and place back would produce a shock around the rim.) Good thing it was fairly cheap, lol!

The head is so plush..I could possibly get more stimulation from a pillow!

Mine looks nothing like that either. Mine has the rectangle display, the top of mine is more rounded, really hard, and the vibrate is STRONG. I actually can't use it because it's too strong for me! LOL!

That really sucks! I hope you can work it out and get your money back!!!

Yeah mine's too strong to use without putting a towel or something between me and the vibrator as a buffer LOL

I actually use mine as a massager and not a vibrator. The vibes are just too much in my teeth even when i have it near my clit...it is kind of bizarre and i find that the orgasms from the hitachi are more numbing than ones i get from the Lelo or the Palm Power. You still feel the buzzing for awhile after a hitachi orgasm and it is not a good buzzing it is more like an electrocuted buzzing.

Wow--my clit must be broken. Mine is strong, but it barely gets me off anymore. This totally confirms my theory that I'm either a) asexual or b) have a clit made of cement. *sigh*

I think the Hitachi desensitizes the clit. I actually get addicted to my Hitachi, and need stronger and stronger vibes the more frequently I use it. But if I break from the Hitachi cycle I cum better/longer/stronger when I use my fingers. So, I don't think it's you. I think it's just the nature of using something with a crazy intense stimulation!

I try to alternate using the Hitachi and my fingers, but I've got a pretty sensitive clit.

And I agree, it makes a great massager (its original intended use, whoda thunk lol) I use it on the back of my neck and my shoulders and it does wonders for getting rid of tension headaches.

    (Update)

So the guy that sold me this wand ended up being a snake. Tried fucking me out of my purchase explaining that he would place a full refund on my purchase if I revised me feedback. (Since I backup my emails I always have copies just in case they try doing just this.) He said he would do the refund after the revise, 2 days after and I have not seen 1 refund. I can't seem to get this person to reply to me through Ebay. I called customer service but they want me to return the item for a full refund, which is nearly impossible since I am in the process of moving and have literally been on a time crunch. I would not of mind agreeing to half, which was initially offered and willing to comply, however this was his new suggestion after finding out the motor in the wand started dying and now I wish I hadn't taken it! I have debated on opening a case through Paypal and asked them kindly to comply. Ugh, I am..so pissed, but needed to share!

I'm sorry to hear that Bambi, what a hassle! I use a Bodywand, it's incredibly powerful and the advantage it has over Hitachi is a variable speed scroll wheel, so it's completely adjustable while you use it.

Horrible word to use here I know but 'chargeback' Bb if they won't play ball. PayPal always sides with the buyer anyway so you'll definitely get your money back. Sorry to hear your purchase wasn't genuine. Don't let it Put you off though as nothing beats the (genuine) hitachi, literally nothing even comes close! X
