Default working at an agency while doing indy work

So, I just recently went indy. It hasn't been so great and the clients I've seen don't seem to go on review sites (at least, I haven't seen any reviews of me on the fbsm forums.)

I'm thinking of working at another bodyrub spa again until things start picking up.. I'd work 2 days there and then 2 or 3 with outcall work. I don't plan on poaching clients, I've just been super broke and stressed out after a string of bad luck and desperately need to catch up. I work in a big city so I don't think I'll run into clients from the spa, but still kinda worried. Has anyone done this? It's mostly looked down on at the upscale places that I'm looking into :/

Don't tell the agency, they can blackball you for being indie in the same area.

Since you are not planning on purposefully poaching clients I see nothing ethically wrong with it; you're doing the business no harm. Working part time while you get your independent business up and running seems perfectly reasonable. Good luck with getting the indy business rolling.

It might be a good idea to use different names and different pictures to separate the two.

The agency is not going to see it that way - most do not work with ladies who are independent in the same city - Snuffie is correct that you can get blacklisted - it can also depend on your price point - I worked with an agency in Atlantic city that had multiple price points - some of the girls in her lower price point also worked on the stroll with her full knowledge - I worked on the high end and she made it clear that it was a no no -- if the agency / spa is hurting for girls they may not care but most established places with solid clientele will give you the boot for free lancing in the same city - try to feel them out without letting them know your intentions - only you can decide if it is worth it to lose the ability to work there if they dont approve

Oh absolutely! I wouldn't even wear the lingerie I have in my indy pics to the parlor. My ads have my face blurred, so unless the owners scour through all the ads and recognize my body I'd be invisible.

My worries are running into a client from the spa and him telling on me. This sounds paranoid but men are weird, and I've seen forum posts where dudes will talk about girls working at different places. The last place I worked at had intense owners - they would read the reviews and if a guy mentioned extras or something weird they would ask the girls.

You can never be too paranoid. My clients ranged from innocently interested in my entire life (like "following" my schedule) to maliciously stalkerish (prank calling and asking for pics from different numbers, one of which was posted to farking PHOTOBUCKET with my alias....)...so once someone starts with the nosy questions you have every right to ask questions back!

Hobbyist are obsessive about getting exactly what they want during the session & will comb review info to find out. 30 minutes of fact checking on reviews is nothing to them.

Thanks for the correction. I don't personally see anything ethically wrong with it, but the business realities are what they are.
