Default When customers ask for their change.

Where I work, dances are $20 so custies asking for their change doesn't happen that often. But when the total is $40 and the guy only has $50, or $140 and he only has $150, and the guy asks for his $10, do you give it to them or say you don't have any change?

I never know what to do when that happens. When the customer was particularly grabby and difficult to deal with, I just say I don't have smaller bills but if he was decent I'll give him his change. Not sure if it's the best way to handle these situations lol

Dances are $20 in my club too, so I never have $10 bills on me -- if they want change, I tell them they will have to go ask the bar. It doesn't often deter them, but at least it saves me the hassle of running around to find them change. If they were difficult, I'll really push for a tip.

I find customers don't tip dancers as much in Canada as they do in the US though, so I think it could just be a cultural thing for them to want to pay the exact amount. I'm sure you'll get very different responses from US dancers about what to do when someone asks for change because of it.

If a customer is going to be all up on you for $10, if I have the change, I'll just give it to him rather than waste my time. If I don't have the change in me, then I'd bring him over to the bar and just get my change and go. Usually though you can just ask them if they could contribute that as a tip and sometimes they'll just let you keep it. But if they need more change than that, then I'd tell them that they'd have to wait for the waitress or I can go and get the change for them, but that I need a tip for getting them their change back. This works well particularly on busier nights.

I hate when guys do this. Especially at my club we have $10 couch dances (so cheap) and some customers have the nerve to ask me for their change after doing a couple of those. When I first started stripping I would always give guys their change but now I say no get it from the bar I'm not an ATM. It's always cheap fucks that want their change.

^ Seriously. I HATE when guys get one $10 dance and want change, and when I say I don't have any change, they look at me like a deer in headlights. "Oh... so..."

I usually cop an attitude and tell them they can get change at the bar. Some old guys at that point have the nerve to say "Well will you go do that for me?" They get a condescending laugh and "what do I look like, a waitress?"

If you're gonna waste my fucking time wanting to chat for 5 minutes before buying 1 dance, damn straight you can get your own change.

Technically speaking, the law allows no alternative than to give the customer his change. Forcing the customer to go to the bar to get said change is a good idea, though, since it introduces an element of shame / embarrassment ... and there's no law against that !!!

I tell them in a very sweet tone "sorry, I don't have change" usually then they will tell me to keep it.

If they were especially difficult and foreign, I do not give them their change back. if they were especially difficult and can speak perfect English, I explain to them that they just tipped me for having to put up with their inappropriate behavior. If they were gentlemen, I have no problem giving them their change, but I will be fucked if I let some grabby ass motherfucker harass me for change if he doesn't tip me for putting up with him.

Maybe I'm too nice but I always offer them change back. About half will tell me to keep it, the other half I tell them we will get it from the bar.

But like the others mentioned if they were too handsy or into some fetish type sh*t or they wear sweatpants then nah I don't offer change.
