So I just moved from LA to NY, but I've worked in Vegas for the past three years. I pretty much immedietalty established great relationships with the hosts in the 2 clubs that I worked in Vegas, without trying. With my move to New York, I've realized that relationships with the hosts are pretty damn critical. In Vegas, it truly doesn't matter if you have someone helping you out or not. But in New York, it makes all the difference. Since I've moved here and have tried to establish myself at a club, I've tipped my hosts really well, on top of making sure that my client tips them as well, but despite the money I've been sure to throw their way, nothing seems to hold. I do the obvious hellos at the beginning of every shift, but beyond tipping them for hosting a room, what the fuck am I supposed to do to be one of their girls that they help out?
What kind of things do you to establish a relationship with your hosts?
