So, after a rejection at my first audition a while back and a few months of self pity, I decided to finally get back in the saddle. Last night, I decided to audition at a smaller cabaret-type club about half an hour from my house. I walked in and asked to apply, and was hired on the spot without an audition and house fees waived. I was glad for this because I was super nervous about being on stage, but I also wish I'd auditioned because I wanted to get stage out of the way to kind of help ease my nerves. Oh well. The manager asked if I could start that night and I accepted. I filled out my paperwork, changed into my outfit, and met some of the girls; who were surprisingly very welcoming, which I was thankful for. I went in to this planning to just be cordial and keep to myself mostly, and I know I'm not here to make friends, but I am normally very shy and unconfrontational, so I'm glad that the girls were friendly and approachable, this definitely helped ease my nerves a little. The manager knew I had never danced before and could tell I was nervous, so he called one of the girls over to show me how a lap dance is done (I was pretty much a strip club virgin prior to this and had never even seen a lap dance before, so I was completely clueless). She gave me some good advice and sent me on my way to work the floor!I was super nervous but excited to start making money. It was around 9 o'clock on a Sunday night, with only about 15 guys in the club, so it was fairly dead. While I was sitting at a table waiting to go on stage, a customer came up to me and engaged in conversation. I told him that I was new and that it was my first night dancing, and the rest is history.
He bought dances from me all night! In between dances, we would go sit closer to the stage and watch the girls do their sets. It was still pretty dead and no one was tipping, so he put a stack of bills on the table and gave me a few to go tip the each girl that went up to dance. Fine by me! It's hard to hate a new girl that tips
I stayed til about 30 minutes til closing and left with $220. Not bad for my first night! I definitely feel alot more confident and plan to go back again this week. I'm still not super comfortable with stage moves, but thats nothing a little practice cant fix. I'm so glad I finally got my shit together and decided to go, lol. Thank you all for your encouragement on my last post and for all your great advice! Can't wait to start learning the hustle and become a pro
