Default How often do you cancel appointments?

I've had to cancel all my appointments for the weekend, because I'm lying here in bed with a crazy flu! Obviously self-care comes first, but it's super annoying because I feel like it makes me look unprofessional, plus, the money. So I was wondering, how often do you ladies think you cancel on clients? What do you tell them when you do?

I never wanted to cancel if I could help it. That's the fastest way to lose clients, but if I was sick what could I do? There was times I cancelled when I was sick or having an anxiety attack. I always told them I was sick or having female problems. I long as you don't have a bad reputations for cancelling all the time, it's a good enough excuse. It's vague and nobody asks "What kind of female problems? Also, I always made it clear that "I'll make it up to you in other ways". You decide what that is. PM me if you want details. Don't discount your prices, to make up for canceling or they will expect it all the time.

Unless its habitual, you should not feel bad about cancellations or rescheduling. We all get ill and have accidents. That said, I just had a "rolling cancellation", the provider asked to reschedule, agreed, asked again, agreed, and then cancelled. Luckily my day was such that I could adapt, but I'd much rather have just had an early cancellation and then I could have got a regular to fill in.

Yeah guys will view it as unprofessional unless it is a first or second or abnormal for you. Life happens, no need to stress . I hope you get better soon .

I really don't cancel unless I truly get sick, some sort of personal emergency comes up, or something rubs me the wrong way about the guy in emails between the booking and appointment and I eventually decide it's not worth the risk. If you get sick or an emergency comes up, just be honest, even if vague. Clients would rather you keep your illnesses to yourself, and they know shit happens. I guarantee you that damn near every hobbyist that's been doing this for awhile has had to cancel/reschedule an appointment himself. Life happens, and sometimes secret meetings just can't take priority, even if it's your job. Even vanilla jobs have personal days for emergencies. Do everything in your power not to cancel twice in a row or make it a habit. Example: don't "suddenly be sick" 3 weeks in a row, unless you honestly have some sort of serious, lingering illness.

If you don't want to see someone for personal reasons, tell them whatever you want, then just simply never reschedule. If someone is giving you the creeps, you don't owe them an explanation. Just block their email address/phone number.

Illnesses and personal emergencies don't happen terribly often unless you have a chronic illness or major drama in your life. If you're always canceling, people will start to talk. But if you simply cancel here and there for legitimate "life happens" reasons, they won't hold it against you. I was pissed one week because I got super sick and had to cancel $1700 worth of appointments when I really needed that money. But I simply couldn't do it. You'll make it back. Most guys will reschedule. If someone has already made it past screening, they're probably not enough of an impatient asshat to hold it against you. Guys that I have to say "Sorry can't do that day" to over and over and over again still persist. If they want to see you, they really want to see you. They won't run off all pissy cuz you had to cancel once over the flu. They'd probably consider it more unprofessional for you to show up looking like hell and giving them germs. I wouldn't stress about it.
Don't try to win over the haters. You are not the Jerk Whisperer.

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

Before I started escorting, I went on the boards to see what clients were saying about the girls. The two biggest complaints were 1) she flaked or was really late and 2) she didn't return calls/ texts/ emails. When I started working I was always on time and I return probably 95% of my messages. These two things alone will put you ahead of 80% of the market. Most of my reviews included something like "She was on time! OMG!!1!!"

So, stay professional. Communicate what's going on. Don't make a habit of canceling and you'll be fine.
"You know spies, buncha bitchy little girls."

Absolutely true, for me every on-time and non-canceled appointment starts with my feeling sugar frosted flakes greaaaaat. But then having regulars helps with that also; always going for new, new, new (nothing wrong with that), will run some risks as it does with any other service. Switch accountants every year and see how that works for you. Sex workers are not especially flakey, I've dealt with my share of flakey in the vanilla world.

Flip side, I met a new provider and she had over half her appointments cancel. She was visiting, it was a five star appointment, and I probably won't get to see her again thanks to all the boobs that can't make and keep a schedule.

With that said, we all know that behind the scenes the review board boys club is also griping about how an escort didn't provide an off menu service, didn't give extra time (for some not getting more than the scheduled time = rushed, and there is always a minor tsunami if there is a raise in prices or, god forbid, someone believes they are offering a service that should net them a higher market price.
