Default Painful bump from floor work?

I have this large bump on my back that seems to be from doing floor work (rolling my legs over my head, which rubs against on one side of my lower back). For the first few days I noticed it, there was a large brownish bruise and a bump beneath it. Now the bruise seems to be gone and my skin looks normal, but the bump is still there and it's quite painful. I asked the house mom and she said it might be a cyst? Has anyone else had this problem? I feel like the bump keeps getting slightly bigger and more painful every time I go to work.

I've had one since I started from it hitting the floor as well. (I've been dancing for just over two years.) I know a few other dancers that have it as well. It's normal. Don't worry. Mine still gets aggravating sometimes but for the most part your body will adjust. If it doesn't after a few weeks then see a doctor. Try to learn more pole tricks so that your not just doing floor work though, that helped me a bit. Before I started doing pole tricks I was only doing floor work and coonstantly on it so it was always in pain.

I'm not sure if I've had the same bump but I've had one super one from doing floor rolls like what she does at around 18 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKcK8GEFY_k.
Sometimes the body adjusts to your movement and the injury stops comming over time but if it's a floor roll where you can use your hands and arms for support you can try pushing your arms and hands hard into the floor to take on some of the pressure and control the landing so it has less impact on the back. This helped me and I haven't had that weird super bump ever since.

Yes, that's exactly the type of roll that I keep doing! I usually do it 1-4 times during a stage set, depending on how tired I am (I do a lot of pole work as well). I've been doing that - pushing up to avoid putting pressure on it, or switching the side I roll on. I will also try mixing up my floor work a bit... getting ideas from that video haha.

not trying to threadjack, but in my 6 years dancing I have never seen a girl do anything like that... I don't think any guy down here would find that particularly hot. I personally think it looks nice and I'm not trying to knock your way of dancing, but I would just stop doing that trick. I've learned to stop doing certain things that gave me bumps or bruises and find other stuff that you can do that gets tips.

I also wouldn't want to put my head on the floor like that.

Yeah I don't do the exact move she does... I just mean that I put friction on my back in a similar way. What I do is actually closer to a yoga position with my ass over my head, and I add a bit of flare to it by pointing my toes and rubbing my legs together sensually in the air. A lot of the floor work I do is basically akin to flexible sex positions haha.

It could be a lipoma from repeated trauma.
