I went to Rick's in Manhattan today to try out and was rejected. I was kind of surprised because I used to work there, for a couple of years, but it was a while ago so things change.
Not sure where to go next. I've been retired for a few years except for like 4 random shifts to toe the water. Honestly, so much has changed since I last danced and I have no idea what clubs are good (but not too good to hire me).
I'm 6 feet tall and about a size 8, thin but curvy build sort of like a model who ate many a grilled cheese sandwich. Shoulder length dark blonde hair, pale-ish white skin with freckles and a bit of a spray tan. Small natural boobs (B). I have tattooed arms but I had these sleeves made that cover everything and match my gowns. Kind of a cheerleader/girl next door type. People always think I'm so innocent, etc. The one thing I worry about is age: I look like I'm in my mid-20's but I'm actually 39. Wondering if the number on my ID is going to keep me from getting hired.
Rick's is the only clean, busy Manhattan club I know of that seemed like a good fit. Other than that I've worked a couple shifts at Pumps (fun but too slow to be worth it) and Vivid (totally dead when I was there). Any recommendations? I'm more than open to Queens and Brooklyn clubs as long as there's money there.
Thanks!
