Default The "New Girl" hustle.. *that's what I called it anyway..*

So I apologize in advance if this particular hustle has been discussed.. This happened to me on my first night - and I wondered what everyone's thoughts on this was.. So my first night - it was slow as hell - I had never given a lap dance - I was trying desperately to get someone in the booth before my shift ended though. I tried to hustle both the manager AND the doorman/bouncer (not knowing who was who yet..) Anyway - I wound up getting into a genuine conversation with a guy who sat close to me and bought me a drink. We actually enjoyed our interaction - we laughed - and when I closed I was pretty blunt and asked him if he'd like me to dance for him - he knew I was a noob - but he seemed genuinely interested and said yes. Okay.. So far so good.. Then one of the house girls comes over and sits across from us - she had been working there for like 3 or 4 years and the other girls definitely gave her space. So she sits across from us and asked me if I've ever given a lap dance. I said no.. But that I was about to go back to the booth with him. She asked me if I knew the rules and if I'd like her to come back and show me. I knew this was a hustle - but I thought out of respect since I was new I should just say okay.. Like paying dues or something.. So we went back to the booth with this genuinely nice guy and gave him the most awkward lap dance experience I'm sure he's ever had. She asked me if I could shake my ass - and then (not real gracefully) shook her ass in his face for a couple of seconds and then said "Now you try" - so I did.. lol She explained the rules about wearing shoes and taking them off if you want to put your feet up on the booth.. Not doing so would result in a fine.. So it was not a hot experience for this nice gentleman - however he did pay us both $20 for the lap dance - and was a VERY good sport about it.. Because I kinda felt bad. So all in all - I felt glad that I let the other dancer jump in on the hustle - she told me the rules that would keep me from getting a fine - we both got paid... She never tried to pull that on me again after that - nor did anyone else.. So I guess my question is - what does everyone think of this..? It's not something I would personally do.. Maybe I just had "noob" written all over me - so it was just too easy.. Has anyone else come across this hustle or used it..? Just wondering what everyone's thoughts on this are... Do you think it's line-steppin'...? Even though I was new - the customer and I were obviously comfortable with each other.. Then again - maybe it's smart to pay dues to the veteran dancers..?

Ugh no, that was rude and cut throat on her part. Personally I would have told her I had it under control.

Definitely was a hustle. She was NOT helping you. She wanted money. If you weren't sure about the rules you can ask a bouncer, the manager or one of the nicer girls. Don't ever fall for that at another club again when you're the new girl.

oh, and I am a veteran dancer....my one club I was at for 16 years....YOU DON'T OWE VETERAN DANCERS SHIT. Just mind your business, smile and be nice to the other dancers, don't move in on their game/regulars and you'll be fine. There is nothing owed/due. Just be nice. That's all I've ever done and I've never had a problem at any club in any state.

Just think had it not been so awkward for him, he would of bought more dances with YOU.

Yea... Honestly I wasn't really sure how I felt about it. When she first came over and started talking to us - I almost told her no - that I had this.. I guess I felt a little put on the spot. I thought maybe this was something they did to all the girls on their first night. And yea.. It was real awkward for the guy. He was such a good sport about it though - I really DID feel kinda bad for taking his money.. But I needed it. If I was banking that night - I probably would've given him the $20 back and gotten is name - like tried to establish more of a connection with him (because we were actually having fun talking and int was completely natural - not at all forced like some interactions..) You know I think he would've bought some more dances from me too.. Oh well.. Live and learn right..? Thank you for the input - I wasn't sure if anyone else saw any dancers run that kind of hustle..

Don't ever give them their money back. You're there to make money.

Yeah she should not have sat down with you and your customer if you or he did not invite her over...

Exactly. I've had people ask for a "money back guarantee" if they didn't like my dance...well, give me my dance and time back then, too.
The customer is paying for your time and attention, things that can't be given back. So, awkward or not, he doesn't get his money back.

Yea.. I noticed from reading the forum that it's rude - and honestly - if I saw a girl talking to a customer - even on my first night not knowing anything at all - I still would never approach them unless asked to. That just seems like common sense to me. When she put me on the spot like that - I thought maybe (dumb as it sounds) that it's a hustle only used on a new girl - and that it would somehow show respect by letting her take advantage of my "new girl" status (assuming she didn't keep doing it to me...) Which she didn't.. But still.. It was cut throat and disrespectful.. You know the reason I felt bad for taking that guy's money - was that he paid out $40 and didn't even get $10 worth. The way she shook her ass in his face was SO unsexy.. lol.. I think she was doing it on purpose so she wouldn't give away any of her moves or style while she was trying to "school me" - so yea.. She really did me no favors.. Probably cost me an extra dance or two since the customer WAS having a good time before she came over.. So nobody has ever seen this happen to a new girl at any other clubs...? I guess she really had some audacity then. Or maybe she just knew that I was very inexperienced and unsure of myself and took advantage of it. Either way - I'll never let THAT happen again.. :-P

    Ignore this girl.
The " new girl " routine is one of the best hustles out there so you don't need anyone to help you with it ! Just elaborate on your newness / how sexy the whole thing is to you ect.!

You know you're absolutely right - I think that's why the customer I was dealing with chose to sit next to me in the first place. Apparently he was a regular there. I did have more than a few people ask me about myself - said they never saw me there before.. Etc.. Well I may have learned a little since that night - but when I do go back to work - I'm definitely playing up my newness ;-) *hoping I find a better place to work this time around..*

Ignore her in the future. Don't acknowledge her. If she does it again, you can tell her to leave (even if you risk losing the customer...it's still better than her thinking she can walk all over you and steal your customers.) Even though you both got paid, that $20 could have gone to you. He could have gotten another dance, could have tipped you with it. You did the work, you talked to him...that should have been your money. I know this business doesn't always work like that but she had no right doing that.

And yes, play up your newness. When I was new, I hit on the CLUB OWNER (!) one time not knowing who he was...then played it off like "Oh, um...I'm new and was just trying to introduce myself! Whee!" It happens a lot, I'm sure so don't sweat it. Guys like the idea of having a girl who doesn't "know the rules" I guess because they think they can get away with more...be sure to educate yourself so you can "play the part" without letting a customer try to tell you that "other girls do x thing" or something and you'll be fine.

Haha! Yes..! That was the owner I hit on too!! lolol And the doorman. It must happen a lot because the owner looked completely unsurprised - I on the other hand was completely embarrassed!! ;-) Yea - I think I like the new girl hustle because it's natural to me - I'm a little goofy and that seems to work out together.. lol.. I can have a lot of *derp* moments without feeling as dumb as I normally would.. haha!
