    Default Narrow hips

I am wondering what can be done for narrow hips. I have always been a little self conscious about this because it makes my body look very boyish. I wish I could have more of an hour glass shape. But with my tiny hips is impossible. You can barely tell where my waist is, I look very square. Any advice? I have been doing some research about excercises but haven't had much luck. Most work out info focuses on the butt. Same for cosmetic surgery. I am not exactly interested in the butt area, but on the hip area. Also gaining weight is not an option, I am very petite and when I gain a couple pounds they happen to go to my cheeks or my tummy.

    Thanks!

Ugh, I think if you gain weight. Even though I know you don't want to gain weight. Maybe lipo to the tummy. The fat will then possibly transfer to your hips but not definitely. I had a bit of lipo on my hips and then the fat transferred to my tummy.

Time will solve this. Also walking a lot will build up your thighs and hips. Butt workouts= more curve to the hip area.

You could have a kid too, instant mother hips

Are you looking strictly for exercise tips? Because one of the best ways to combat this sort of thing is to simply learn how to dress for your body type (I say this with love, as I am still learning the basics about how to dress for my own body type). For work, you'll be looking for things like ruffle panties and ruffle tops - items that have girly touches (to counter your boyish figure). Look for clothes that have some movement rather than simple bikini sets. And when you have a more boyish figure, it's a good idea to work on toning the body you have - get some muscle definition goin' on.

Yeah, that's all I got. I'm really terrible with this sort of thing! I'm 26 and just now starting to pay attention to how different clothes change my appearance.

I know a really hot dancer with narrow square hips but people barely notice it, she has big breast implants and works out a lot, she has a nice muscular ass and curvy legs, along with a Barbie look. Direct their attention to your best assets.

I'm an inverted triangle with extremely narrow hips. Childbirth, exercise, and weight gain haven't helped my figure, but that's just me, and everyone is different.

For me, the only time I see definition in my waist is after full day of tightlacing when my floating ribs are still compressed. Unfortunately, this look doesn't last very long (again, just in my case).

Yes I totally feel that if I had more assets on my breast area I could totally pull off a look a baby look of Kate Upton. That maybe her body type is not the most hourglassish, however it doesn't matter because she has got amazing, large breasts. Me on the other had tiny boobs 32 B I guess I can give a try to the excercises focusin on the butt area. I haven't heard much success about fat transfers to that area
    any thoughts on this one?

Yup, similar situation in my case. Getting big breast implants instantly makes your waist appear smaller. Jumping on the stair-stepper will also add some 'mass' to your butt and legs, which also helps makes your waist appear smaller.

I've always presumed that belly dancing moves could help in this situation. Also gaining a little bit of weight-- 15lbs or more might help. I recently gained some weight and it went to my hips, thighs mostly, a litte to my breasts, and a bit to my face. Maybe that could help?

If you buy body wrap supplies and wrap everything but your hips, it will pull those areas in, making your hips look larger and giving you a curvier, but still petite, figure.

I have a rectangle shape too. Wearing just a tank top with panties looks cute for that shape. Wearing a skirt that flares out *just a little bit * below the hips, also helps. But if the skirt flares out too much or is puffy, then it makes me look too short and wide - especially not tu tus. Tu tus and poofy skirts seem to only look good on tall gals (they may look good on you if you're tall, with narrow hips, though)

Swimsuits suck. Bikinis look like a couple pieces of cloth placed on a rectangle. Halter tops suck. I like wearing black blouses, but they make me look more square shaped.

Bras look cute if they have a rounded shape around the breast area create a more curvy illusion. Tank tops or tight t-shirts, combined with baggy pants. Mismatching colored bras and panties look good, with the panties being darker colored than the bra, so that the hip area will look more prominent.

Not necessarily. Having a kid is not a guarantee of getting a sexy hourglass figure. It's partly genetics too.

I had a kid and my hips only grew to accommodate the baby then went right back to previous measurements. I also went up a cup size during pregnancy but unfortunately those went back to previous size (and sadly weren't as firm and perky). So I basically went back to my previous size after baby.

    Boo hoo for me.
