I know I'm probably being a whiney bitch who is butt hurt because I got called out...However it's not that in itself that's bothering me.
I recently purchased a new car from a dealership and my husband & I (who knows I'm a body rub girl -- strictly, no "extras" ) went to have our car serviced. As we waited we had small talk with a friend of ours who started working at that particular dealership. Little did I know a potential "marked" client of mine was there and he saw me and felt like he knew me from somewhere.( After researching the phone number I marked him as a DNA due to the simply fact he worked at the same location I purchased my car from and I knew I'd be back for maintenance.) Since he saw our friend talking to us, he inquired about me to him and was saying how I looked so familiar. Apparently, makeup less & wig less I still look myself! Instead of assuming I looked so familiar because I was a customer of -big name dealership-He proceeded to tell our friend that he was always on BP and that I looked like one of the girls off of BP in the ESCORT section I've never posted in the escort section, and my ad is very tastefully done. Not even the simplest suggestion of HE activities, tasteful pictures, etc. The friend never saw my ad, #, or pictures, was simply just TOLD what the site was about. Going off that our friend calls my husband and asks to speak to him privately and goes on this tangent about how I'm an escort behind his back, blah blah blah...Husband had to correct him, and told him he knew what I did and that I was a BODY RUB girl. Please note, I'm not dissing escorting in any way. Been there, done that years ago when I wasn't married...It's amazing, out of all the people I saw in a fairly small tourist town I never had any issues like this before.
I guess my whole thing is, from a professional POV isn't there anything regarding talking about customers and telling your co-workers that they're escorts when you don't even have your facts straight?? I've always thought there was a measure of discretion on both ends, but now I'm paranoid as hell. He's a manager for the commercial vehicle side and his name, picture, and business info is all online just from researching his phone number. You would think he wouldn't use his business line for entertainment activities.
Where I live is such a big city and for that to happen really just blew my mind. I guess I just feel exploited because I was doing things in my personal life and it got thrown in my face from an unexpected source. Guess there's nothing I can do to retaliate, huh? Except be more careful next time...
