Thumbs up Taxes and Centerlink Info for Aussie Camgirls

    Hi guys!

I'd thought I'd post up this info about camming and Australian tax laws. I rang the Tax Office and grilled them about camming and how to claim it and how it's taxed, and I also went into Centerlink for a sit down with a nice Centerlink dude who showed me how to claim your camming income correctly. All of this is current info as at May 2015. So here goes!

    For claiming Tax in Australia:
    1. The ATO does not consider camming to be something that requires an ABN. You don't need an ABN to cam.
    2. The ATO considers any income from camming as 'foreign income'. You just need to claim your earnings as 'foreign income' in your normal tax return you do every year. No separate tax forms are required.
    3. Foreign income is taxed at the EXACT same amount as any normal income you get in Australia from a job. So that means that if you earn under $18,000 it is considered under the tax free threshold and you won't get taxed for it. Anything about $18,000, it will we 20c in your dollar or 20% of whatever you earn over $18,000.

    For claiming to Centerlink:
    1. As of Jun 2015 all payment estimates will be going from yearly estimates to fortnightly estimates. This will be applied to all payments from Centerlink (Family Tax, Austudy, Newstart, etc).
    2. Centerlink does not discriminate about where you get the your money from. As long as you tell them who much you are earning each week/fortnight, they really don't give a damn what you do to get the money.
    3. Centerlink wants you to tell them what you earn each week/fortnight so they can adjust your payments accordingly so you are going to need to track how much you earn each week/fortnight.

And that's it! I just wanted to post this up cos I couldn't find any info about this myself a few weeks back on the net through the ATO website or the Centerlink website. Paying it forward to any other Aussie camgirls wondering about taxes and Centerlink and camming

Did they give you any idea about business deductions and such?

Default Where and how to pay taxes?

    Hello ladies,
I'm absolutely new in this business (actually I'm not even in there) and I don't get how it works with paying taxes.
Ok, I kind of do, but I will explain my situation.
I'm from a European country but living in Australia at the moment. So I'm not registered in my home country anymore. So far I would assume I have to pay taxes in Australia, right?
Okay, next situation, I'm planning to stay here for one year, then I will move on. Not staying too long in each place as I'm kind of a long term traveler. I won't change my location every day but I probably won't spend another whole year in the same country. Probably not even the 183 days to be a tax resident. So where do I have to pay taxes then? In the country where the website is based?
Or is it just not possible to do it that way?
Would be so happy if anyone can help as I'm really confused...
    Cheers.

You need to find a tax professional in your current resident location and start from there.

Does anybody know if it's the same with taxes for stuff selling on clips4sale, 2hot4fb etc?
