Default what kind of bag/suitcase do you take to work?

I'm trying to buy a new bag to take to work. I have a simple large tote, but everything just becomes total chaos in there and I want to get organized.

Looking for good ideas and reasons for which method is the best...

I carry a large tote as well :/ I just put all my makeup in a smaller bag, my shoes in their own bag, and I keep my phone/charger/personal effects in my regular purse.
Have you tried putting stuff in ziploc bags to organize more?

I always had the fewest problems using a ( lockable ) medium sized duffel bag with shoulder strap to start with. Then, inside the duffel bag, I also had smaller ( HD clear plastic storage ) bags for 'clean' outfits and 'dirty' outfits, a small makeup travel case, etc. Shoes, spray cans etc. simply worked their way down to the bottom of the duffel bag.

The thing I hated most before I started to use the HD storage bags was that the presence of 'dirty' outfits would cause my 'clean' outfits ... and everything else in my duffel bag ... to smell like a proverbial French whorehouse as a result of the perfumes and perspiration absorbed by the 'dirty' outfits.

Also, while I only actually needed to utilize this feature a few times during my dancing career, the duffel bag and shoulder strap allowed me to throw everything inside, yank the zipper, grab the strap, and run out the club's back door in less than 10 seconds !!!

An Hola pussy bag that I got in New Orleans last time I was there.

I either put my stuff in a backpack or a regular purse where I put my make-up bag, wallet, ipad, charger etc. + big reusable bag with my outfits, shoes, baby wipes, snacks. Not the most convenient way though...

I carry a big gym/duffel bag. It's strong and has two big pockets on the side. I also like it cuz it looks like I'm going to the gym when I'm really going to work.

I used to have a duffle bag from VS Pink, and I kind of liked it better... I guess it's just when I carry a ton of stuff that it's hard to get organized. I do use ziploc bags for clean ones, but I'm going to start using them for dirty ones too.

The only downside to duffle bag vs tote is when you put it all in a locker. I used to have hard time cramming my duffle in there.

I use a backpack that I got at goodwill and stick my shoes a publix plastic bag that I cram into the backpack. Ghetto, but I like being able to trade it out for a fresh one. It's also nice for cramming large amounts of ones in when I get rained on. Dirty outfits go in that bag at the end of the night. Make and hair accessories go in a makeup bag with zippered compartments. It rolls up and has a hanger which is nice because I can hang it on my locker door when there's hella girls and no room. (My locker is next to the mirrored wall.) Other toiletries go in a zipper bag and the make I need for touching up goes in yet another zippered bag.

I use a carry-on suitcase with deodorant, aspirin, wipes etc stored in internal pockets and ziplock baggies for apparel. I have a bag for thongs, a bag for stockings, a bag for jewelry, and one for tops. I just carry my shoes.

Before organizing it's important to figure out how you actually use your stuff while you're at work. If you tried the ziplock thing and it didn't work, there's a reason for that! Do you like to mix and match different clothes or do you mostly have the same few outfits? Do you do your makeup at work or at home?

This big sparkly zipper bag that I got for free at Victoria's Secret after spending $75. It can carry a lot of stuff including my shoes, outfits, makeup bag and hair products. I love it!

I just put every outfit in a separate ziplock bag... I always come to work with make up and hair done, jewelry on. I only put on my outfits, but I do have some Make up in a cosmetics bag for touch ups. Other than that 2 pairs of shoes, wipes, body spray and a brush that's all I carry with me.

I like using 2 handle / strap totes so that I look like I could be a customer or a female manager I feel like if Im carrying a duffel it screams stripper and I like to be ambiguous. I prefer my bag to be dark color to make myself less visible going into the club. I also have my items in clear ziplock bags so I can see everything and stay organized as well. I wish I didn't have to carry any bags and had a personal concierge to launder my dance outfits and do my hair and makeup.

A basic black, small roller suitcase with a handle. I've had it for a while. I love the outside pockets. I even carry a first aid kit with me since I got CPR cert a few months ago. And lots of 'wipies'.

Ugh I should really try the ziplock trick. I am so pissed I always dump my lingerie in a huge reusable bag with my high heels, etc. and just realized the heel ripped my $250 limited edition Agent Provocateur panties... I don't have anything else that goes with the bra.

yup, i will be more diligent with the ziploc thing too. Ruined my favorite and second favorite outfit last night with some mystery black stains that clearly stem from the bottom of my stupid tote. It's definitely beyond repair, ugghh..

I use hefty bags/ziplock bags with dryer sheets in them. Once an outfit is dirty I put it back in the bag minus the dryer sheet, thats how I know it needs to be washed and it also keeps it from stinking up the rest of the stuff in my bag.
Does it work? Sort of? At the end of the day my whole bag smells like work. At least all the sweat and dirt from rolling around on stage that ends up on my work clothes is contained. Also my clean outfits do still smell clean.
Clear storage for the win, guys. If you can see whats in a smaller bag without having to open it thats great. Unless you have different patterns and use the same bag consistently for the same thing (like my makeup bag, its very specific and I know my clothes aren't in there).

Backpacks are nice. Easy to carry, doesn't look very valuable or conspicuous, separate pockets for things.

I am the queen of many pockets, clear bags, pockets on the o/s of lockable suitcase etc

I saw a craft supplies rolling case the other day- if you can get past the aesthetics it was full of different clear pouches and zipped sections etc.

In the past i've used a maternity bag for the same reason.

I've always been a fan of diaper or dance (like for ballet) bags for carrying stuff. Lots of pockets, sturdy, etc.

A Hello Kitty duffel bag lol It's pink and sparkly. I put everything in zip lock bags inside: one for make up, wipes, deodorant etc, one for dirty clothes, one for clean clothes. I carry my shoes.

Usually for outfits I used a duffle bag and for toiletries such as makeup and my curler I used a Caboodle. The Caboodle was good sized so if it wasn't a club where I had to wear an evening gown or carry around several outfits I often just used this. I still use it on overnight trips.

I bring a smaller bag containing a single outfit for the shift, my shoes, lipgloss, baby wipes, a padlock, body spray, a small brush, a water bottle, and a few other essentials. I hardly have anything in my dancer bag. I've already done my hair and makeup before arriving, and I don't touch anything up over the course of the night (I'll occasionally pat oily areas with a tissue). I let my hair become 'sex hair' throughout the shift, so I have no need for styling tools.

I use the big grandaddy suitcase! I use the pockets to organize my things: zipping pocket is for may makeup, shoes pockets are for my perfume. The inside is where my dance outfits go and I keep a plastic grocery bag for dirty clothes. I need a large suitcase because I have to fit my purse, regular clothes in their also. I also carry it so I can put a lock on it. I have seen too many thefts and girls in others stuff for my liking so I lock everything up. I've even seen a girl with a duffle bag get it sliced open...hence not carrying one of those. Plus on the way out I like the opportunity to run over as many toes as possible!
